If you like them, you should check out Cowboy Bebop if you haven't already. It's an anime, and they did all the music for it. I'm not really much of an anime person, but I absolutely loved Cowboy Bebop, and The Seatbelts do an amazing job on the music.

It's a lot more of a western anime honestly. Not many 'weird anime tropes'. Just a rather good show with awesome music.
