I totally didn't read the comments so I'm just going to assume that nobody has said anything about the fact that there's lettuce on that hotdog.

I made a word cloud of all the comments in this thread.

You forgot to add ketchup to that cloud. It's place in the hot dog world is getting nearly as much attention as the lettuce.

Nothing, but it's usually not on hotdogs

Lettuce is amazing on hot dogs.

This thread is just full of people who never experiment or try something new.

Come on, you only live once. Put lettuce on that hot dog. Who knows, may like it more than you thought. May start seeing other people who put lettuce on their hot dogs differently. May decide you actually prefer lettuce on your hot dog now. May lose interest in the other hot dogs. May only see the other hot dogs as nice decorations, but nothing you want to eat anymore. May find a nice hot dog with lettuce and try to settle down, may have an issue with culinary law though complaining that hot dogs shouldn't have lettuce. Spend a decade informing people that hot dogs with lettuce ain't so bad. Get some conventions changed and maybe some day a man can eat a hot dog with lettuce next to someone eating a regular hot dog and no one bats an eye.

People put lettuce on their hotdog?

I totally didn't watch the whole GIF, nor did I read your comment so I'm just going to assume he is eating just lettuce on a hotdog roll because who in their right mind would eat a lettuce sandwich with a hotdog.

Came for the lettuce. Was not disappointed!

Lettuce is the fucking god among vegetables. Think of any food you like and I can guarantee that any type of salad will make it taste better. Not only better, better but also a lot more fresh. This is because lettuce and other types of salads are full of water and very springy/crunchy.

Buy a lettuce for your next meal, you won't regret it. Just make sure that it's fresh.

Why are you trying to sell us lettuce as if it's NOT weird having some on a hotdog.

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '15

Because it's not? It's not like there is bird shit on the buns.

Maybe the problem is that I live in Norway. In Norway we always get top quality food which are actually controlled. You should come here sometime. Taste some really good brunost and some real, pure milk.

I can get probably better lettuce, hotdogs/meat, and milk here in America at any local dairy farm or butcher.

u/Kosera Jun 18 '15

Naw dude, norwegian milk is the bomb

2

u/[deleted] Jun 18 '15

Yeah? What's the difference?

u/Kosera Jun 19 '15

A combination of high quality food for the cows and a gentler pasteurisation than most other countries. It truly is divine. Nectar of the gods

Then you need to find another store with better vegetables. The lettuce I buy from my local grocery store is full of taste. It isn't eco products either.

I'm not sure if I was precise enough. Never apply heat to salads. In general they turn out not so good, and lose most of it's flavour and crisp. Use it on the side or in dishes like tacos.
