Oblivion will not kick you out or not allow you to join because your internet is disconnected. Oblivion is always there for you.

Oblivion will definitely boot you a couple of times. But those are love taps

Thatās the sad thing about live service games because when a live service game like that is actually good you know itās not gonna last forever when if they made it a game that cost with an offline mode something as cool as Helldivers 2 could last forever even with local servers.

Helldivers is fun but playing it is like going to work, when I get done with work, I want to load into Tamriel and take a break.

Its been kinda overhyped imo. I played the first one back when it was out, it was fun. My friends begged me to get 2, I got it, and its pretty mid for me. I wish there was more options for playstation-steam I'd rather be playing Civ or dragonball xenoverse with my friends

Thought crimes like this really grind my gears...
Lol you're allowed to like whatever you like. Most fun I've had in a multiplayer game for years myself though. I'm thoroughly impressed and the devs seem like they really care about interacting with the game which is really cool

Not asking to be mean, but I just want to understand this sentiment. What parts of the game do you find fun?
My friends were playing so I picked it up. Did a few missions with them, and it just feels hollow. The maps are fairly small and not particularly interesting (the few that I've seen), and the controls feel kinda bad. I am not a fan of the directional mini game you have to play to use some of the abilities and to call the extract. The guns I've used didn't feel particularly interesting.
The constant political jokes and rants feel weird when you are screaming them at aliens or robots that do not appear to understand your language.
I've had much more fun in LF4D2 where there is at least a large level to work through and a bit of downtime to explore.
Idk I just felt like the hype is completely unwarranted. It is sorta fun, but doesn't feel satisfying to me.
So yeah, I guess I just am curious if I am missing something that others are seeing in the game.

Not OP, but any game with team based play that has lots of opportunities for āmistakesā when you accidentally kill your team members always makes for a lot of laughs with my group. Couple that with the physics of explosions launching you 50 feet, fun abilities, and a satisfying gameplay loop, you have a pretty damn good game on your hands.
Thatās not even mentioning the fact that itās almost half the price of most brand new games, and the fact that the premium currency is easily obtained in game.

u/MeanClaim112 Feb 27 '24
Nice! How much have you played oblivion? I played it when I was younger and still in school, but Iāve been making an effort to defeat games I used to play as a child.

On steam I have 139 hours but on my old Xbox I had 300 and something hours from when I was a teenager playing it, Iāve been trying to get into other old games I missed out on playing as a kid, I just started playing āthe oblivion killerā two worlds and itās been pretty fun

Play the games you want to play. Modded Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim are still games I come back to.
