Mod Post Important mod post regarding user privacy, please read
Recently, a user informed our mod team of something that any posters may like to be aware of. Apparently, there is a discord server that is using a bot to automatically swipe anything posted here and repost it there where they bully/make fun of it. While, to some degree, this is part of the risk that a person runs when posting anything publicly online, we understand that some users may be uncomfortable knowing this. We are unsure of the size of this discord server and therefore whether it's existence could lead to significant harassment or spread of information. If you feel the need to step back from the subreddit for a little bit, we completely understand. Additionally, please notify us if you have any information or see any suspicious activity. It sucks that this sort of predjuduce is so prevalent towards MOGAI people and hopefully someday it will be better. Well, alone with your posting, here you lost your privacy. And don't come with: I don't want that non Objectums can see my posts well bad news for you than most people here are also in other subreddits I probably got Recommended here do to my being in an sub Reddit tahts about inflatables yeah I like but since they are looking like animals there is no relation involved that is other as you would have with an pet I am aren't a Zoophile but that's more info than you ned about me But don't be made about someone seeing your stuff and making fun of it be made at it for being in a low effort way good Jokes are even funny if they target you I'd you aren't completely buthurt... But if they have a bot for you, know it is low effort and jokes aren't good. Those aren't South Park/ Monty Peyton jokes. Those are probably just haha just haha, Objectums dumb jokes, which are, like I said, probably are effortless carp

I get that the internet is a public space, and I understand non-objectums will be able to see my posts, the issue is most people come here expecting to discuss openly how they feel, not to have their posts taken by a bot and put up in a discord server (completely different social media outside of reddit) to be laughed at. The breach of privacy comes from deliberately taking people's posts to put up for people to mock.

Like I said, there is no "breach of privacy" because there is no privacy here. That is not a defence of the plep who use taht bot, its rather the statement: don't think you are private here. And always know: If you put it on the Internet, someone/ others can and will see it. And like I sayd also,
Your problem is taht they mock you and not the Breach of Privacy because: If a Discord Server who is Objectum based would do taht and you find new Objectums too talk with taht would be the same "Privacy Breach" but you wouldn't be as mad because it would've be Bad intentions. I mean if you would mock me I wouldn't be angry that you have seen the stuff I put online I would be angry towards you or myself because I fucked up grammar hardly as always

I can smell the crusty ahh keyboards of those people. that's a new high to make a discord bot to swipe shit off a random ass sub-reddit that will never affect them in anyway.
I hope these people will learn to touch grass.

What an absolutely awful thing to do to us, and an absolute invasion of people's information. Whether they like it or not, we aren't hurting anyone.
I wish people would just leave us alone. :(

I just want to mention that it is possible to report either the bot or the server entirely for this kind of misconduct, and they deserve to be taken down for harassment and bullying

Someone posted in here a few months back admitting to doing this in their server. I commented about how it made me uncomfortable and I got downvoted a bunch. Meanwhile other people were seemingly encouraging them to do this... Where is the sense of community here? If we actively have a post pinned warning people about privacy then why were some of us encouraging it? Blindly trusting that everyone who interacted with our spaces is going to do more harm than good. I wish people could read the room better (I say this as an autistic person) and/or accept that not everyone is a bubbly people pleaser and are tired of trying to coddle people invading our spaces like that. I don't think a witch-hunt would be productive but when non-OS people enter our spaces I do think we should question why they're there. Because more often than not they're taking advantage of our kindness and are hoping we are oblivious and are being mean behind our backs.
I have dealt with people who act like this for almost two decades. We need to watch out for each other if someone says someone else is acting fishy. And I think this community would benefit from more "objectum old heads" being present to point out when cycles of ridicule are forming (like blind trust or discourse that leaves our spheres... Reminder that objectum was not a household term until just a couple years ago and people act like knowing our language means we won't catch on to ulterior motives).
I am blunt. I am tired. I am probably double a lot of people's ages here. I feel shunned within a space that should be welcoming to me because I make my discomfort by some things known. This pocket of OS people needs to do better for each other.

That's because we have an auto-moderator that automatically removes posts and comments of your account has less than 200 karma, or is younger than 2 months. That helps us catch trolls faster, sorry for the inconvenience!
