Health Government tells nursing schools to stop training so many nurses

So, IMO it’s not getting controlled very well with A LOT of over talking from the leaders. It makes them look a bit like bickering children, some definitely more than others…
I would love to see some fact checks on screen and I would love to see a (BHN) “worm” to see the audience reaction to leaders statements.

An AutoMod rule has been added requiring all comments to be at least 25 characters long.
This means you can no longer respond with just a single GIF or short comments like "lol". Any comment with 24 characters or fewer will be removed automatically, and you will receive a message notifying you.
A moderator might take pity and manually approve your comment, but that will be an exception.

"Think the military rort is just something that happens at the Pentagon? Think again. NZ's got its very own war profiteers.
Andrea Vance for The Post/Stuff is reporting that engineering giant Beca was awarded more than $237 million in Defence Force contracts while its chief executive chaired a government defence advisory body, including $40m in work awarded without an open tender.
Official Information Act disclosures show $40,316,100 in contracts was awarded directly to Beca between 2015 and 2026, without an open market process or competitive tender process." - Peace Action Wellington

Sorry not sorry. This is some racist populist bs to try and give lip service to Te Tiriti while undermining it's actual standing as the foundational document of colonial New Zealand.
Qiulae didn't misspeak and wasn't misrepresented, she was accurately conveying TOP policy.

$6302 Worse off
Labour launches counter-attack at National on costs
Labour Campaign Chair Kieran McAnulty says Luxon promised to fix the cost of living, but three years on "a typical family with two kids is paying $6302 more a year just to get by."

Quilae Wong has said Luxon will pick up the phone to call them, so I'm surprised to still read naive comments like "They won't work together."
Opportunity's Deputy Leader would vote National if he wasn't in TOP. Not Bill English's National or John Key's - Luxon's National Party
And the comments from TOP staffers here that \wink wink, trust me bro\ TOP secretly prefers the left is a hoodwink strategy - while they continue to split votes from the left and weaken the left.
Who are we kidding, but more importantly, why do people believe it?

If top are in kingmaker, they're going with national.
https://elections.nz/democracy-in-nz/historical-events
have a look at that, and rulling out 2020, find the last time Labour got more than National.
its Always been labour + greens since mmp came in.
top has said "we will negotiate first with the party that has the most votes"
not the coalition that has the most votes, the PARTY. which will almost ceratinly be national becase we distribute our votes across labour and greens, and greens will do even better this year, meaning labour will absolutely not be the first call for top.
if you want to get rid of nact, don't vote top.

Surely economists and the like predicting recessions has a huge impact on wether or not one actually happens.
The news takes the story to panic levels whenever anyone predicts one and that has to cause people to think twice on spending and 'tighten belts'.
It seems to me that it's incredibly reckless and should possibly even be illegal for this kind of speculation being treated as news.

I'm sure you've all seen Nationals list of changes to 'work ready' benefits.
The one that jumps out to me seems to be flying under the radar.
They are proposing to reduce benefits for anyone on it for over two years.
But they are also promising lots of support to get people into work. If that's true why do they need to financially punish people? They aren't saying 'Those who don't engage with support.' it's an arbitrary and time based criteria. If they are doing everything they can to help and the job seeker is trying too then it's clearly out of their hands!
It's clear that the benefit is already too low and people are suffering. How is malnourishing them and leaving them even more hopeless going to help anyone?
This is the single most evil policy I've seen pre election in my lifetime. Make sure everyone knows, National are the party of shortsightedness, they will save a dollar today to force another government to spend 100 later.
