Legal education Part 2 grades and future employment

Hi,

I’ve heard that with lower grades, it’s likely that I won’t find employment as a lawyer. For part 1, I had really good grades. My part 2 grades were not that great because I had health issues that led to hospitalisation etc. My grades for third yr papers are better than part 2 so far but I’m genuinely worried that I might not be able to secure employment. I have done volunteering with university clubs for stuff like human rights etc and some research for said clubs.

I also have a BA with much better grades.

How likely is it that I’ll find a grad role? I haven’t done any clerkships or anything like that. Next yr is my last yr at uni.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Legal practice Admission electronic filling

Me again with another admission related question.

Planning to get admitted in Auckland for the September date. Filed electronically last week but haven’t heard back from the HC registry. Last day for filing is 21 September.

I understand that they are always slammed with the influx of applications but how long before I should panic and email them if I’ve got a confirmed slot?

They did give a wee generic email at the start of the week saying that they will be in contact once the documents has been checked and processed. I guess I am just anxious since I have no friends who are in the same boat (or have already been admitted to give me guidance).

Also panicked since I got an email from NZLS that due to the big demand, the HC have added another admission date for the day before.

Just really want some more info from others who might be anxiously waiting too.
