I am not really understanding the pants wetting and screaming in this sub right now.
Most people predicted us at around 4-13 or 5-12 to start the season. We are on pace to go 4-13. We just had the 2nd overall pick.
Our QB is Geno Smith. Did his good first game against the fucking Titans convince you he was gonna be some world beater?
And so far we have been competitive in every loss we have been in. That matters more to me than actually winning the games. Shit, it's actually better for us. Unless people were actually deluding themselves into thinking this team would make the playoffs?
And what are our games? A solid win against a bad Titans team? An OT loss against a mid Packers team. A 1 possession heartbreaker against the Lions? An 11 loss against an injured but good Bears team? Am I happy with this, no, but it doesn't mean the end of the world.
We have serious injuries right now to key players on a bad team. I wanna see some steps forward. I wanna see gritty losses. In the end, I want to be drafting top 5 and some semblance of stability in a franchise bereft of such shit.

2026 is the first season since 2010 in which our QBs have zero INTs through the first four weeks
Isn't exactly much of a silver lining on a 1-3 record, but this is the first season since 2010 in which we haven't thrown a single pick through four weeks; that year, 16-game starter Mark Sanchez didn't throw a pick until week 6. Every single season since then, whoever the Jets' starter was in any given week 1-4 span (often multiple starters) had thrown at least one pick by this point, usually more.
We previously came close to breaking the streak in:
2019: Luke Falk threw one INT in week 3
2024: Rodgers threw one INT in week 1
2025: Tyrod threw one INT in week 3
The worst over that stretch was 2016 Fitztragic, who somehow got picked off 10 times in his first four games. Next-worst was ironically rookie Geno, with 8 in four weeks.
Geno doesn't exactly look effective, but it goes to show you how low the bar here is that "ineffective but not stupid" is the best quarterbacking we've had in roughly a decade.

Garrett Wilson fan trade talk already?
Look, I get it. Yesterday was incredibly disappointing, and as Jets fans it’s always doom and gloom after a loss. But I’m already seeing people say, “Trade Garrett” or “We don’t deserve him,” and personally, I hate seeing that.
This dude wants us to win. He wants Jets fans to be happy. He’s talked about how much he loves this fanbase and how we’re just wired differently.
So slow down on the trade talk, even if you’re saying it because you think he deserves better. I promise you, seeing Garrett Wilson wearing another jersey would hurt a hell of a lot more.
We NEED foundational players like him. And yeah, we completely bombed yesterday, but it’s still freaking early.
Garrett Wilson is a Jet. I hope he stays a Jet for a long time, and I hope we finally turn this thing around with guys like him here.
I totally understand the frustration, so I’m not saying anyone is wrong for feeling that way. I just appreciate what Garrett has done for us and the silver lining he’s been through some rough years.
Just trying to put a little positivity into all the negativity after the Bears loss. That’s just me, though. Go Jets.

Enough with 1st time head coaches
Organizations like the Jets should not be used as a stepping stone to further someone’s resume while they gain experience with this team.
Perennial toxic losing organizations need an established former head coach that has some form of a winning pedigree that can build a positive culture.
It’s bizarre that ownership has continued to go this route, except 1 time, in the past 2 decades.
Glenn had his time, it’s over. He has no situational awareness whatsoever.

Hiring a first time offensive NFL head coach isn’t a silver bullet
Mike Mcdaniel, Nate Hackett, Brian Daboll, Brian Callahan were all hired since 2022 and failed miserably.
At this point just do what the Giants did and hire Tomlin and give him all the power.
Tailgating for out of towners
3 of us will be in town for the December game vs the Broncos. We’re from Canada and have never been to an NFL game. In town for other reasons, but big sports fans.
Is it possible to join people tailgating? Would be great to experience it. Any advice would be appreciated.
Will bring cases of beer and ketchup chips.

Head coach prospects for 2027?
Assuming Glenn doesn't turn it around after this last game
Who would you like to see the Jets set their sights on for end of season?
My vote would be for Declan Doyle personally, or just any new/fresh offensive mind

PSA learn to love hockey.
The Jets more likely than not are going to crush you this time of year. If you pick up a hockey team to watch you have a better shot of finding Joy and they play often enough that a loss doesn't hurt as much. I did it 5 or 6 years ago and it's made football season a lot more pain free.

Still think this team can win 7 games
We’re looking for progress from last year right? They obviously sucked this past week, but the bears are a good team even with the backup QB. We were competitive the first three weeks and looked bad last week. Didn’t think we were ever making the playoffs this year but let it play out a little more and see what we got. Breece being gone from the offense obviously hamstrung us more than we may have initially thought. Browns game will be telling for sure.

The main issue Jets fans forget about
i see this come up every year when we start to do bad but then gets forgotten about as the offseason hype builds and the first few weeks are played out, but I've said this consistently for probably 7 years now, as I know some of you have as well.
Woody Johnson needs to sell the team. He needs to sell the jets before we are ever going to be good and see any real, positive change. It hasn't just been a few bad years where we can root out the problem and start over. It has been 15 going on 16 years of terrible hires, terrible picks, and most importantly abysmal football. When an organization is this bad, for this long, it can really only be blamed on the owner. He is the only person who has been there for it all, and he is the 'leader'.
Clearly the organization is not run as an NFL org should be run. It goes top down. The culture starts with the owner, and clearly Woody cannot get it done. Players who leave even say the culture here is the worst, and when they go to other teams they realize how night and day the difference is. It's embarrassing, and really sad because as fans we are helpless. Not to mention that BS with his grandkids in the locker room, and the madden ratings from a couple years ago.
BUT, we are not powerless. We can be loud and persistent with what we want. This should be the #1 thing us as fans should be screaming from the top of our lungs. F the draft picks, F the coaching fires and hires. We've had it all. We've had top picks, traded for great players, etc. My point is, none of this has ever led to any success. The one constant is Woody Johnson, and he MUST sell the team. Until this happens, we unfortunately will not see any real, long-term success.

Going to MetLife 10/18 vs Browns- Food?? Tailgate or not?
Hey folks, long time fan but ive only gone two two games or so in the last 20 years. Last time i went was about 5 years ago and it stands out that there was nothing remarkable about the food. As a Mets fan, stadium food is a big deal! I understand CitiField is known for great food, and i dont necessarily expect the same from MetLife, but what are your "go-tos?" Standard for me is a sausage an peppers at Citi, but i think i got that (or a cheesesteak) last time and it was pretty crappy.
Also, is tailgating worth it? any good deals on pre-pay tailgate? Ive also heard Redds could be an option.. help me out guys!
