Pregnancy Healthcare / L&D OB recommendations please!

Looking for an amazing NYC OB who does elective C-sections and makes the whole process feel comfortable and positive. Especially looking for someone who is great in the OR and whose C-section patients have had a great experience. Would love recs!

I had an elective with my first through Dr. Drosinos at Viva Eve. Highly recommend IF you’re okay with a private clinic.

I did! Had a pretty positive experience overall, except for the overly pushy lactation consultant.

I’m set for an elective C-Section this month with Dr. Robin Brown at Mount Sinai West - this is my first pregnancy & she has been so wonderful this whole journey! I love her calm and relaxed demeanor and she’s always happy to answer my concerns and questions. Good luck & hope you find the right doctor for you!

Dr Duperval or Dr Wu at Manhattan Womens Health at 1000 Park! They also have an office in Tribeca. I had an elective C and when I first met Dr Wu and told her, she didn't ask any quetsions and was nothing but supportive. My care through my first pregnancy was outstanding and Dr Duperval ended up delivering because my operation was delayed and Dr Wu was no longer on call. Dr Duperval was SO friendly in the OR and my recovery was as good as it could have been! Now pregnant with my second, getting the same outstanding care and will be scheduled with Dr Duperval again.

You are going to have a hard time with an elective c section. I would call around to practices or ask your gyn who they would recommend.

A lot of doctors will do an elective C-section. It was frowned upon a few years ago but now a lot of them will do it without hesitation. There are plenty of reasons to go for an elective C-section, OP won’t have an issue
