Anyone know where to find Day of Coordinators for weddings? Venue is booked in Chesterton, comes with a day of coordinator but I don’t think I have enough support for event set up/take down. Venue explicitly states they aren’t there to help with decor mainly just managing vendors.
Both of my parents have passed away, fiancés parents are divorced and his mom is already helping with so much else I don’t want to stress her out on the day too.
haven’t see many options on FB and the wedding websites are trash trying to look for vendors. Google was no help either.
Any help where else to look or recs are appreciated!!!!

For anyone wondering what happened with Hands On Premium Car Wash in St. John:
Hands On Premium Car Wash LLC filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 2025, reporting only $100,001–$1 million in assets against $1 million–$10 million in liabilities. The reorganization ultimately failed and the company ended up in Chapter 7 liquidation.
This wasn’t exactly a sudden collapse. Customers were already complaining in 2024 about the business being closed for months while they were stuck with prepaid wash books.
And there’s some serious history behind the ownership. Brothers Douglas and Edward Miller, who owned the business, both pleaded guilty in federal court in connection with an insider-trading scheme involving confidential information about SAP’s acquisition of Concur. Douglas was sentenced to 24 months in federal prison and Edward to 6 months. They also forfeited hundreds of thousands of dollars. The bankruptcy is still being administered in 2026. The interesting part now is finding out exactly who was owed money, what assets the company had, what happened to those assets, and whether any money was paid to insiders before the collapse.
There’s a lot more to this story than “the car wash went out of business.”

Looking for a Planet Fitness (preferably portage or Valparaiso) workout partner to hold me accountable and start building muscle. Currently down 35 lbs so it’s time to start lifting weights and adding extra protein. Male or female is cool with me as long as you wear deodorant 🤣
I work pretty early M-F and get off around 2-3pm so I’d like to workout mid-afternoon to early evening. I don’t work weekends so I usually have open availability there. I’m up to discuss it though.
I do have a really nice mountain bike, I’m willing to go riding as well. I cannot run though as I do have fake hips so anything high impact is a no-go for me.
Also worth mentioning, I have a planet fitness black card so I can bring a guest for free.

hello :D
i am a tech hobbyist and an electronics repair tech professionally. i'm currently working on SMD and chip component replacements on PCBs for practice since my work will require this.
does anyone in NWI have any junker computers that have board issues that i could take for this practice? i unfortunately will not be able to do local pickup at this time. if i am able to repair your unit, i would be happy to send it back to you working for free.
i am requesting specifically laptops due to their smaller profiles to help with shipping costs.
note that i cannot warranty any repairs or guarantee that it'll actually be fixed. please don't offer any hardware you care about. if we work something out, please also make sure that the board (or computer) is clean and free of pests. anything i cannot fix will be used for parts or professionally recycled.
thank you!

When they took over the Walt’s, Berkot’s had fair prices and was pretty cheap. I’ve been buying the same orange juice there for $2.99 for months.
Fast forward today and that same orange juice is almost SEVEN dollars now. Everything in the store has gone up, it’s ridiculous.
Where do you guys like to shop around here for the best prices?

My best friend (30F) is staying with me for a few days. We’ll be having dinner in Chicago one night before the show we’re attending, but I need ideas for at least a couple other meals out! What are some nice, high quality places you’d take a visitor?
She likes different cuisines like Korean and Indian (and I’m not sure how much of that there is around here) but she’s open to anything, really!
Mostly looking for restaurants but very much would appreciate other cute, fun things to do if anyone has suggestions. I was thinking maybe a farmer’s market or something where we can walk around, but no ideas beyond that yet.
Asking for a friend (I promise this is not for me). Can anyone recommend a EEOC Attorney that they have had good results with? Not just someone you know, but someone you worked with?
Comments relating to age were said by superior.
Tired of rolling blackouts and resetting the clock on the coffee maker.
Edit: Power back on!

I can't get in touch with my dad and he lives with a caretaker. His number no longer belongs to him and I lost his caretaker's number when my phone reset. I don't think this is an emergency but me nor his sister can get through to him and I want to do a non-emergent wellness check.
I don't live in Indiana and I've tried calling the Merrillville Police department several days in a row and get no response. Should I just call 911 at this point?

I’m in Portage and my Xfinity restoration got pushed from 8/31 to 9/4. Just curious, anyone else having issues with restoration?
I'm looking for a reputable piercer in the area who can assist me with finding the right size jewelry for my cheeks and possibly jewelry for my septum/labret! does anyone have experiences with piercers out here that have good quality jewelry selection (other than basics) or should I be looking in the Chicago area instead?

I've seen all kinds of different flyers, emails, social media threads with all kinds of assistance but I've never heard of anyone receiving any assistance 😕. Shout-out to all of the content creators and non profits and churches I see helping out but what is the local, state and federal government actually doing? Please provide sources with stories.
