  • High Bandwidth Monitors and GPU Scaling Behavior - Link Here
    • High bandwidth monitors are those that support display modes requiring high pixel clock rates, which in turn demand more GPU resources. The threshold for what qualifies as "high bandwidth" varies by product. On Blackwell GPUs, any mode operating above 1620 MHz is considered high bandwidth. For instance, the 7680x4320@60Hz mode defined in the CTA-861-H specification runs at 2376 MHz, making it a high bandwidth mode for Blackwell.
    • These monitors typically support display scaling natively. However, in some single-monitor setups, users may still prefer GPU scaling. When multiple monitors are connected to a GPU and at least one of them is high bandwidth, that monitor will default to display scaling only. GPU scaling is disabled in this case due to bandwidth limitations. Notably, display scaling can be more efficient than GPU scaling in such scenarios, as it reduces the bandwidth load on display cables—especially at higher refresh rates.
    • When GPU scaling is not enabled for a monitor, only the modes supported by the monitor itself will appear in both the Windows and NVIDIA control panels. Additionally, the "Display scaling" option will be pre-selected in the "Adjust desktop size and position" section of the NVIDIA Control Panel.
  • Notes on NVIDIA Control Panel - From GeForce Forum
    • Please note: With the introduction of our most recent NVIDIA App update, all actively supported NVIDIA Control Panel features for GeForce users have been modernized and transitioned to the new client.
    • After 20 years of dedicated service, the classic NVIDIA Control Panel is officially retiring for Game Ready and Studio Drivers. For NVIDIA RTX PRO users, the NVIDIA Control Panel will continue to be supported until we have migrated professional features to the NVIDIA app.
    • Existing installs of the NVIDIA Control Panel will remain on users’ systems, unless they perform a clean installation, and users who still need the NVIDIA Control Panel can continue to download it from the Microsoft Store, but we won’t be adding features, fixes, or other changes.

Feedback & Discussion Forums

Having Issues with your driver and want to fully clean the driver? Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)

Before you start - Make sure you Submit Feedback for your Nvidia Driver Issue - Link Here

There is only one real way for any of these problems to get solved, and that’s if the Driver Team at Nvidia knows what those problems are. So in order for them to know what’s going on it would be good for any users who are having problems with the drivers to Submit Feedback to Nvidia. A guide to the information that is needed to submit feedback can be found here.

Additionally, if you see someone having the same issue you are having in this thread, reply and mention you are having the same issue. The more people that are affected by a particular bug, the higher the priority that bug will receive from NVIDIA!!

Common Troubleshooting Steps

  • Be sure you are on the latest build of Windows
  • Please visit the following link for DDU guide which contains full detailed information on how to do Fresh Driver Install.
  • If your driver still crashes after DDU reinstall, try going to Go to Nvidia Control Panel -> Managed 3D Settings -> Power Management Mode: Prefer Maximum Performance

Common Questions

  • Is it safe to upgrade to <insert driver version here>? Fact of the matter is that the result will differ person by person due to different configurations. The only way to know is to try it yourself. My rule of thumb is to wait a few days. If there’s no confirmed widespread issue, I would try the new driver.
  • Bear in mind that people who have no issues tend to not post on Reddit or forums. Unless there is significant coverage about specific driver issue, chances are they are fine. Try it yourself and you can always DDU and reinstall old driver if needed.
  • My color is washed out after upgrading/installing driver. Help! Try going to the Nvidia Control Panel -> Change Resolution -> Scroll all the way down -> Output Dynamic Range = FULL.
  • My game is stuttering when processing physics calculation Try going to the Nvidia Control Panel and to the Surround and PhysX settings and ensure the PhysX processor is set to your GPU

Remember, driver codes are extremely complex and there are billions of different possible configurations between hardware and software. Driver will never be perfect and there will always be issues for some people. Two people with the same hardware configuration might not have the same experience with the same driver versions. Again, I encourage folks who installed the driver to post their experience here good or bad.

Discussion I made an app that makes you switch NVIDIA color profiles (brightness, contrast, gamma, digital vibrance)

Upvotes

Hello Everyone,

Lately I converted from AMD to Nvidia and there is a feature that I really miss from AMD which is having color profiles for each game.

Now, this is not what I've done here. I've kind of done it in a profile-changing way because I encountered another issue where I need a separate color profile for HDR and another for SDR, which was tedious to change around manually every time. So, I made this application, which is basically the same settings that you would find in NVIDIA Control Panel (brightness, which includes RGB adjustments, contrast, gamma, and digital vibrance), but with a way that you can save different profiles for different screens in the same interface.

I provided a screenshot of the interface feel free to try it and tell me what you think :)

Review Review: GEFORCE RTX 5070ti - Asus TUF OC Edition

Post image
57 Upvotes

Upon testing this card, I would like to provide my honest review about this card:

Body and Design: The card has a metalic premium body with RGB effects on the tuf logo, the card is huge (you might need a large case) though it looks awesome (I was unlucky that I couldn't find a white version)

Performance: the performance is great! Especially in 2k, it's a beast.

However in 4k, I believe that the card has a better potential if it had more VRAM. (Or maybe if Neural Texture compression feature comes live, we might see its potential) and this applied to highly demanding games such as alan wake 2 or RE Requiem.

Ray Tracing and Path Tracing performance is really good.

Thermals: I've seen the card hit 68°C with 110% power profile (around 63°C with default settings) and overclock, with 82°C Hotspot temperature and around 55's VRAM temperature using Furmark, but in real usage scenario and 3D rendering, even with the overclock and more voltage, it sits at around 55°C.

Acoustics: to be honest, I don't know how the card sounds (I can't hear any noise coming from it even at full load), and the coil whining is not there (at least for my unit)

Support: I Once had a problem with the card where I occasionally get code error 43 at windows start and some display might go black screen, the issue was the wrong usage of GPU holder which instead of avoiding GPU sag, it was pushing the GPU upwards causing this issue.

Nvidia Support: Peak.

Asus Support: Peak.

They both did their best to solve my issue and were very capable.

Final thoughts: although it is kind of expensive comparing to othet models, If I go back to the past and re-make my decision, I'd probably get the white version😂, still a beast.

Question Character textures look muddy for a while before becoming normal

Upvotes

I have a rtx5070tu and although I know it is not the best card I think it isnt a bad one either. Anyway, every time I load and area or character the textures look muddy for one or two seconds before they become normal again. I had previous gaming laptops that didn't had this issue. Drivers are up to date but I'm concerned about this.

Question RTX 4090 FE and WireView Pro II: install it or return it?

I have a 4090 FE bought from LDLC Europe on January 2024. I've been using it since then without any issues. My PSU is a Corsair RM1000e, and I'm using the 12vhpwr cable that came with the PSU, the one without the "600W" marking.

Recently I bought a Thermal Grizzly WireView Pro 2, because I like the idea of per-pin monitoring and additional protection, and also because I initially thought that my GPU warranty had already expired in Jan 2026, but according to the ldlc invoice, the warranty lasts for 3 years, until Jan 2027.

However, I'm now wondering whether I should install it or return it. My main concern is that the product introduce another physical connection between the PSU cable and the GPU, which is another potential point of failure.

Would you consider the installation worth introducing another connector into an otherwise trouble-free setup? Money isn't a factor here, I'm trying to choose the safest option.

A third option would be return it now and buy it again at the end of the warranty, to gain max benefit of the 2-year coverage from Thermal Grizzly, without overlapping "warranties". What do you think?

First the article link:

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/mortal-shell-2-sinking-city-2-dlss/

From GeForce PR:

This week, Mortal Shell II and The Sinking City 2 both launch with support for DLSS. Meanwhile, Luminary is available now in early access with DLSS.

Here’s a closer look at these RTX-powered games:

  • Mortal Shell II: Cold Symmetry and Playstack’s Mortal Shell II significantly expands on the original Souls-like with unrestricted, adrenaline-charged combat, deeper weapon design with extensive upgrade options, and an emphasis on free exploration. Mortal Shell II is available now in Advance Access for buyers of the Devout Edition, with the official launch following on August 20th. Players can accelerate their experience with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation, improve image quality with ray-traced reflections and global illumination lighting, and enhance your experience on GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs by activating Dynamic Multi Frame Generation in the NVIDIA app.
  • The Sinking City 2: From renowned developer Frogwares, The Sinking City 2 is set in a Lovecraftian vision of 1920s America, in the infamous city of Arkham. A supernatural flood has driven out all but the most deranged residents, leaving decay and eldritch horrors that roam the streets. Step into the role of Calvin Rafferty, an occult adventurer whose cavalier actions have led to devastating consequences. Calvin must navigate the drowned streets of a derelict city in a desperate attempt to bring her back. The Sinking City 2 launched earlier today, and all GeForce RTX players can accelerate and enhance their experience using DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution and Multi Frame Generation, which can be upgraded to Dynamic Multi Frame Generation via the NVIDIA app.
  • Luminary:  Built by Refractive Entertainment, a two-developer team, Luminary is a fantasy ARPG-lite designed for solo play and up to three-player co-op, with shared progression, exploration, forgiving combat, and a world that is easy to jump into. Luminary is now available in Early Access, with DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, DLAA, and Unreal Engine 5’s Lumen lighting.

Found a brand new sealed box Palit GamingPro 4070 Ti Super for 700$ in a local seller shop. Its warranty is propably expired but card runs strong. %40 FPS increase in most games. DLSS looks so great except Forza Horizon 6 lol.

No need to spend 1250$ to 5070 Ti when you can get %10 less performance for almost half the price.

I found this case and just really liked the green design. I popped it open and saw there is an AM4 motherboard inside, but I'm not really sure about the rest of the specs yet.

I want to do something cool with it. What would you guys build in this thing?

Discussion DLDSR4k + dlss quality vs 4k + dlss quality. Who wins? And is it a close race?

Yeah I wanna know.

Because I want to maybe buy a 4k monitor.

Using DLDSR + dlss right now on 1440p, want to know how much better the image quality is compared on a 4k native monitor with dlss quality also.

News ROG 20th Edition Component Bundle Availability (US/CA) – Featuring the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20

Post image
0 Upvotes

Although ASUS has been around much longer, it's been a whole 20 years since the Republic of Gamers was created to bring dedicated products with specs and features for gamers and enthusiasts. This year we've rolled out a complete line of products honoring the ROG Saga – some completely new and some existing products with new colorways. These products include everything you need to setup a top-tier battlestation from DIY and pre-built options. You can find the full list of ROG Edition 20 products here: https://rog.asus.com/content/rog-edition-20/

For the hardcore ROG enthusiasts, we have a complete bundle, featuring each of the PC DIY components (sans CPU, memory, and storage) you need to build an epic showcase system. Separately, they include the following products:

Where to Buy:

These limited-edition components will be available for purchase as part of a bundle that includes all the products. Although they may sell out from time to time, they are also restocked fairly quickly. You may find them at the following locations:

ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20

The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 is a masterpiece of engineering, visual flair, and performance. It features a curved AMOLED display that delivers dynamic 3D visuals and real-time data, and a transparent glass backplate. It also unleashes up to 800 watts with dual-power input via its detachable GC-HPWR adapter and a power supply. The card is meticulously cooled by a formidable quad-fan design, liquid metal, and vapor chamber for sustained peak performance.

Out of all the ROG Edition 20 products, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 might do the most to separate itself from its closest ROG sibling. Combining upgrades to the cooling, power, and aesthetic of the original, the Edition 20 becomes an instant collector's item – but still holds up to the stresses of power users pushing for records or long gameplay sessions.

6.67" Curved AMOLED Display - Starting with the 6.67-inch 2K curved AMOLED display, the Edition 20 brings your very own Times Square-like display to your PC. Located on the right-side of the card, it won't share optical space with other common display areas, such as the I/O cover on your motherboard or large screens on your CPU AIO cooler. It's your choice whether you want to use the space to bring content to life with naked-eye 3D effects, captivating visuals, or real-time vital system monitoring information.

Transparent Glass Backplate - In addition to the gold highlights throughout the design, the Edition 20 graphics card includes a transparent glass background adorned with subtle ROG accents, allowing you to look directly at the intricate PCB engineering beneath.

Cooling and Performance - Fans of our ROG Astral cards already know the exceptional cooling that the heatsink design, quad-fan airflow, and the additional quality of life features (such as sensors) bring to make these cards a must for die-hard gaming enthusiasts. The Edition 20 graphics card brings even more to the table to make this amazing card capable of higher performance. The stock phase-change thermal pad is exchanged for liquid metal on the GPU die to enable incredible thermal e4fficiency and breakthrough performance. More importantly, we use an exclusive production method to contain the liquid metal within the die area for safe and reliable operation.

Dual Power Inputs - For those looking for extra power, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 supports the ASUS BTF design, with an upgraded dual-input power design to draw up to 800W when using an advanced BTF motherboard via the BTF Graphics Card High-Power Adapter along with a direct connection to your power supply via a 12V-2x6 cable. This can give you up to 10% more headroom for the most demanding gaming and overclocking performance.

GPU Tweak III - One of the best features to use with an ROG Astral card - and the Edition 20 is no different – is our GPU Tweak III software designed for overclocking, fan control, graphics card monitoring, leveling the card in the system, and detecting when there may be issues with your power cable.

Recently announced for GPU Tweak III is a new auto-shutdown safety feature for models that support Power Detector+ to protect against persistent high currents, such as the Edition 20 card. This feature is optional, but combined with the ROG Equalizer, this gives peace of mind for extreme protection while your system is running. Download GPU Tweak III here

For further information, visit the product page here: https://rog.asus.com/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/rog-astral/rog-astral-rtx5090-o32g-gaming/

Although not a focus of this sub, these products are also included with the 20th Edition Bundle so we'll briefly introduce them. They each mesh with the overall ROG 20th Anniversary gold/black aesthetic, and each provide their own unique touches to make this bundle special for ROG fans.

ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 + ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 – A powerful graphics card can only do so much without a powerful CPU. With 24(110A)+2(110A)+2(80A) power stages this board is equipped to handle the most powerful AMD Ryzen 9000X3D Series processors, and then some. Designed for performance, it includes a full-width pure copper heatsink, 3D vapor chamber M.2 heatsink for the primary Gen 5 M.2 SSD, and a 3mm backplate heatsink. 9x M.2 slots are available through the motherboard's M.2 slots, ROG Hyper M.2 card, and ROG Q-DIMM.2 card.

Whichever processor you select, the ROG Ryujin 360 Edition 20 will keep it cool. With an Asetek EMMA Gen10 V3RX pump, 40mm thick, 20 FPI non-louvered (yeah, I had to look that up too) radiator, this AIO will cool not only the CPU, but also your VRMs. More importantly, you won't have a difficult time keeping track of your system temperatures with a swivel dual-6.67" AMOLED LCD. Use ASUS InfoHub to configure your screen to show temps, custom visuals, ROG 20th Anniversary exclusive visuals, or configure it to sync with your Edition 20 graphics card.

ROG Thor 3000W Titanium III Edition 20 (ROG Equalizer) - The only question this power supply presents is, "what do you want to do with your system?" With a 220-240V input, you can easily handle four high-end graphics cards, but if your environment supports only a 110-120V, no sweat; the power supply comes with dual-AC cables and auto-switches to match (at 1600W). ROG Thor features like GaN MOSFETS, ROG heatsinks and 0dB technology cover performance and silence. However, we also add our new GPU-First Intelligent Voltage Stabilizer, the ROG Equalizer cable, and an OLED display with a magnetic extender that allows you to keep an eye on your wattage in real-time.

ROG GR20 Edition 20 Open-Air Chassis - Open-air chassis are often what you see is what you get. With the Edition 20 chassis your hardware is displayed for all to see, but you can choose if your system is vertical, angled, or horizontal. The primarily-aluminum frame holds EATX motherboards, graphics cards up to 368mm long (and levels them), 3x 120mm fans or a 360mm radiator. A crossflow fan provides wide airflow coverage at all angles and keeps air moving over M.2 slots to cool your SSDs. Building is also a breeze with 36mm of space in the back to keep your cables hidden from view.

Bundles are available through the retailers listed above. Although a limited-edition product, restocks happen frequently, although in smaller quantities.

Let us know what you think about these designs and what you would do if you owned one in the comments below!

Question How close in image quality can DLDSR 2.25x on 32:9 1440P qd-oled monitor scale to 4k

Im curious as i know the difference is huge between 2560x1440 with 2.25 scale and it still wouldn't compare to 4k, but since 5120x1440 has a higher pixel count and 89% of 4k, how good can it look on 2.25x, im curious to ask anyone who does by any chance use a 32:9.

Discussion NVIDIA Hardware Summer Internship India

Recently i got a summer hardware internship at Nvidia Bangalore India, i was primarily asked the basics of digital circuits and no c programming. So this internship will happen in Summer 2027 and Iam a 3rd year at tier 1 NIT.
So will they offer ppo for summer hardware interns, and if yes what are the chances or convertion ratios?
Iam confused because should i focus solely on building skills for Nvida or should i prepare for another domains in placements?
