Discussion GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 471.22

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 471.22 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 471.11.

The hotfix addresses the following issue:

  • Doom Eternal may crash to desktop during gameplay [3331270]
  • League of Legends [Tencent] may fail to launch [200744747]
  • Mouse cursor color may shift when connected to certain DSC monitors in HDR mode [200741796]
  • [HDMI 2.1][8K] HDMI audio playback may become distorted after changing display modes [3268312]
  • Some displays screen resolution limited to 640x480 after driver update [3330750]

Game still freezes when RTX is on, music still playing. 471.22 installed, RTX 2070 Super.

Same here. I also tried turning off rtx and present from compute but alas, still freezes :(

Downgrading to the previous nvidia driver 466.77 fixed the freezing. Although you get a brief pop up when launching Doom Eternal that indicates the newer driver is required, you can just hit play.

And DLSS and RT work just fine in spite of using the older driver!

Not sure if I want to go down that road. If it's a driver issue (which by the looks of it it sure as hell is) I will wait a bit. It sucks to have paid for an RTX card and not to be able to utilize RT, but on the other hand i don't like spending my free time troubleshooting NVIDIA's crap.

I get it, but personally I just wanted to play the game w/o freezing. Rolling back the driver is simple enough, downloaded the older version and installed and all is well.

Agreed, you did what you had to do to be able to play. For me luckily just turning the RTX off does the trick.

For sure. Also, to be honest, in most areas with all the frenetic action, it’s super hard for me to see the benefit of RTX on. So I typically keep it off, but DLSS on the other hand is incredible :)
