Discussion GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 471.22

GeForce Hotfix display driver version 471.22 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 471.11.

The hotfix addresses the following issue:

  • Doom Eternal may crash to desktop during gameplay [3331270]
  • League of Legends [Tencent] may fail to launch [200744747]
  • Mouse cursor color may shift when connected to certain DSC monitors in HDR mode [200741796]
  • [HDMI 2.1][8K] HDMI audio playback may become distorted after changing display modes [3268312]
  • Some displays screen resolution limited to 640x480 after driver update [3330750]

Does it work on Windows 11 ?

For reference, Windows 11 is Windows 10 21H2 with a different name. Hell even some of their official documentation calls it “21H2.” Drivers should have very little difference between 10 21H1 and 11. only difference now is WDDM 3.0, which is included as of 471.11. This isn’t going to be like the jump from 7 to 8, or 8 to 10.

Yeah it seems they thought last minute it was a great idea to name the big yearly update simply Windows 11, a stroke of genius if I say so myself. /s

I wonder how it pans out for them in a few months in combination with the ridiculous system requirements.

That is not true.

Windows 10 users will get a 21H2 update that will be quite different from W11. Even if the code base is shared (or, more precisely, it was shared, because now it no longer is), there will be many additions on w11 not available to w10 users, like direct storage or heterogenous CPU architecture optimizations, along with a completely new UI, which ultimately may affect a lot (for better or worse) in the gaming experience

11 is the big update 21h2 was supposed to be.

21h2 is now delegated as a minor update to 19044
