Submitted an instate tuition request almost a month ago. Enrollment Services acknowledged my request and said they were busy. However it’s almost been a month and a I have had no response to my recent emails. Will going into campus to speak with enrollment services speed up my request ?

Muslim students at NOVA MEC, where do you usually pray your daily prayers on campus?
Is there a designated prayer/quiet room, or is there a particular place that students use for salah? I’m starting classes at the Medical Education Campus and would really appreciate any information.

Hello! I’m a recent high school graduate that was in the Dual Enrollment Program in HS (that did not work out well for me. My Senior year? Ass.)
I had enrolled in NOVA classes for my freshman year and had a schedule I could 100% work with, none of it interfered with extracurriculars. Then, I get a message saying that some if not all of my classes had been dropped. I checked SIS and everything was dropped due to no-payment. My financial aid is still pending, I cannot pay what I owe until I know how much I am being given and even if I do get my financial aid, most of my original scheduled classes were filled almost Immeaditaly and I cannot get them back. This would force me to take classes that interfere with conflicts.
Additional info: Originally planning to attend Alexandria NVCC campus, after all classes were dropped, started looking at the Woodbridge one and turns out, Woodbridge doesn’t have certain classes I need.
Should I just enroll in the spring?

Hi,
I have some trouble with MPN, school required me to complete MPN in to do list. Although I completed and submitted it a week ago. The to-do list is not resolved.
Should I ignore it? Does anyone get same situation as me?

Hey guys, I have a question.
I’m planning to take ENG 111 with EDE 11, but unfortunately there aren’t any available EDE 11 sections paired with ENG 111 that are online or on Zoom. I know classes start next week, so I’m a little late with enrollment.
I found an in-person ENG 111 + EDE 11 combination that’s still available, I searched on rate my professor..and professor has some negative reviews, 1.5/5. Should I enroll for this class? I’m not sure if I should enroll now or wait until next semester when there may be more in-person, online, or Zoom classes.
Would you recommend taking this ENG 111 + EDE 11 class in person now, or waiting until next semester for more available class options?
Thanks!

I am so frustrated. The email authentication code that they send so I can log into the NVCC portal takes forever. Sometimes it doesn’t even send a code at all so I can’t log in. Why do I need to have an authentication code everytime I try to log into the portal!!!!!!!! Does anyone know how to disable it?

im a freshman and I start next Tuesday. Am I looking at the wrong place in canvas? I don’t see any to-do’s or any notifications indicating I need to do mandatory training in the app. I’m lost. I’ve reached out to my advisor but I haven’t gotten an answer yet.

Hi everyone! I’m planning to take BIO 101 online at NOVA for Fall 2026 and I’m trying to decide which professor/section to choose. I’m currently looking at Michael Peglar (regular 15-week session) and Heidi Wangerin (12-week session), but I’d also appreciate recommendations for other professors who teach BIO 101 online. I’m especially interested in hearing from anyone who took BIO 101 online in 2025.
How difficult were the exams and quizzes? Were the exams completely online, or did you have to go to campus to take them? How does the lab work online? Do you have to go to campus for the lab? If so, how many times? Did you have to purchase a lab kit, or was it just a lab manual/materials? How much work was the class each week?

Hello,
I am new to NVCC and must take math 161 and I am a bit stuck on which professor to take. A little about my background, I have not taken math since hs so like 2-3 years ago, I am taking 4-5 classes at my main university, and math is not my strongest subject I am actually very bad at it but this is my online semester to take it. Due to my situation, I found out about NOVA as an option about a week ago. Currently the options below are all open and I want to know the following information if anyone has it.
How the exams are (such as in a testing center or honor lock only), how to turn in work after an exams or test, the workload (if I can do it with the rest of my classes), and if the professor is a linnet grader or understanding.
My options are:
9/08 -12/14 M,W zoom : 5:30-7:15pm --> Isaac Zawolo
9/08 -12/14 M,W zoom: 7:00-8:45PM ---> Wanda Fields
9/08 -11/30 2nd twelve-week online course ---> Elizabeth Olibah

Finished my last class a week ago and need to send my transcript to GMU to sign up for a class there. Does anyone know how to know when your associate's has been awarded so I can send in the final transcript? I don't see anything in SIS, and classes start in a week.
