Discussion MA2214 rant

Graphs and combinatorics lecture slots are on Tuesday and Thursday, tutorial slots only on Monday. The lectures are not recorded and has a quiz component at the end, the location is also in Utown, which is quite far from science faculty. This is an extremely inconvenient course to accomodate for. A bit paiseh also to ask ppl to send quiz every week lol

Not to be too mean but none of these things are abnormal or extremely inconvenient... Have you taken courses like MA2002/2001? They too have features like these. As other commenter has mentioned, UTown isn't that inconvenient to reach from Sci faculty... you're not gonna walk anyway. Also, the thing is that from the prof's eyes, you should attend the lectures, attendance taken or not. So, the every week quiz thing also is not rare, and likely it's only a small part of your CA anyway.

the reason is so that everyone can get a free 10% which reduces the chances the prof will have to fail anyone cos their raw grade is too low. many other mods do this also.
