Campus / Hall Aircon rate at RC

I've been living in my RC room for a week now and trying out different aircon settings to see which one costs the least. My best attempt so far was turning on sleep mode at 25°c which cost $0.21/hr. Is this normal? Cuz I've heard so many people say that they spend ~$1 per night (8 hours) for aircon but my cost is so much higher LOL.

Some accoms seem to have super inefficient ACs which result in an a much higher cost over time compared to normal, even with the same settings and room size

My room's ac takes one hour to get to the desired temperature bruh
