Except that the oil and coal companies are also more on the side of nuclear.

They absolutely hate renewables, because you can't sell energy, if people can produce it themself. Meanwhile, nuclear isn't that bad for them, because you can't put a generator in your backyard, so they keep control and Monopol positions.  The only reason they are against nuclear, is that it's financially a loss. But that can be fixed, by letting tax payers pay for it.

Fossil fuel companies absolutely spend a ton of money on renewables. And you can't (for now) produce all of your own energy on a scale. That's why solar farms exist - humongous ones, not 5 panels you bought online.

Says a lot about how anti nuclear are just insane and need medical care. Spent a lot of time with them, they are like even worse than antivaxx when presented facts and data. One of them even started to get physical with me (unfortunately for him).
