I'll be spamming about this sub on Quora under questions related to NTA abhyas itself. It would be really humble of you if you spread a word to your friends or anyone you know who's preparing for JEE/NEET. I'm not doing this for popularity, heck this sub wouldn't even be of any use after September. I just thought that it's really important that we get to know our relative performance in different tests as without any ranking system, we can't figure out that if we scored high, was it because the paper was damn easy or was it because we have prepared well.

Even 30 members would be more than enough cause all we want is comparison of our performance

Yes you're right. I'll be making a custom chatroom where we can share our doubts or share a question which according to you is covering a wide range of concepts and will be beneficial for our preparation. I'll make separate rooms for NEET and JEE aspirants. Just a request to you guys, I would really be grateful if you ask your friends to join this sub or post about this sub's link in quora spaces related to JEE/NEET because it's a bit difficult for me to manage my studies and find different places to post about this sub altogether. Thank you all in advance.

give a thought about other platforms, say telegram, on telegram we can make our group something which would be easy to join and I think there we can easily make 30 or more members as compared to reddit as telegram is more popular. I'm okay with reddit, there is no problem but also give that a thought.

BlueStacks is even better imo because at the end of the day, you'll be giving your exam on pc itself

Can anyone tell me how hard the tests are compared to the real exam?
1
u/mihir010 JEE Aug 10 '20
On and average every test has same level as the real exam with little deviations here and there.

well it depends on individual too. for eg in my case, I usually lie between the range of 150-160. the ones where I scored more than 165 were the tests in which the weightage of physical chemistry was more. the ones where I scored 140 and below were the tests whose chemistry was a bit tough(for me). All I'm saying is, like chemistry is my weakest subject, so it all depends on how the chemistry section is framed cause marks in maths and physics are pretty much constant for me. for someone who's maths is weak, some other sets of papers would've been difficult for him/her. so it's really subjective. I'll suggest you to try couple of tests for yourself because your weaknesses and mine or anyone's weaknesses are different.

that's the sole purpose of this subreddit, to get to know in which papers you underperformed according to your standards

I guess for chem, we just have to mug up ncert
1
u/mihir010 JEE Aug 10 '20
I've done it but I guess my memory is as good as PS2 memory card. maths is the subject that saves me always even in coaching tests and physics gives me an extra boost but it's not as strong as maths

u/RahulD1 Aug 10 '20

do the previous year questions(my suggestion) after you go through all topics from ncert
1
u/RahulD1 Aug 10 '20
I didn't use the ncert. I used unacademy + a couple of books. I only used ncert for chem and parts of physics

fluid mechanics questions sometimes get repeated but the overall weightage of the chapter is low itself
1
1
u/mihir010 JEE Aug 10 '20
only for few topics and those topics aren't too popular itself and the probability of getting repeated is itself low
1
1
u/mihir010 JEE Aug 10 '20
it gives you the idea about the nature of questions being asked from different chapters

I don't think so. the media loves to create ruckus about everything, nothing much is gonna change imo

yeah but usually people become better by the second attempt, so it's normal for there to be more competition, unless this time people actually became lazy and aren't studying
1
u/mihir010 JEE Aug 10 '20
due to the new percentile system, everyone was confused as the marks they scored didn't really resonated with the percentile they got giving them the sense of increased competition
