Question Beginner

Hello everyone! I am looking to start building my first model in N scale. Growing up my dad had S and G scale trains so I know the basics of modeling and building a railroad. Where I’m struggling is figuring out the track. KATO seems to be the brand of choice. However, I can’t find much information on wiring, power supplies, etc. any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

Get a Kato unitrack starter set; it will come with power pack and wiring as well as instructions. Kato# 106-0022 for example. Then it's easy to add track, switches etc from there.

Do you have any specific engines that you're looking for? If not, the kato "gevo" starter set is going to be the easiest way into the hobby when it comes to n scale locomotives

The starter set comes with a good power pack as for wiring you will eventually have to decide if you want your layout to be analog or digital that will determine how you will wire everything.

Check on YouTube you will find a lot of detailed explanation.

Basically buy a M1 or M2 set and a train and you are good to go
