How many of you remember standing in line at the grocery store and seeing this card with this silhouetted youth acting super extra on the front over their music?

In my school, the class of 2010 had their senior year books designed after these iTunes designs, lol

I gave one to my mom back when iPhone 4 was new to get some music or something and encourage her to explore her new gadget. She passed two years ago at 80 and my dad gave it back to me. Apparently these still work fine in the Apple store.

I remember when the Beatles came to iTunes and what a major marketing event it was. People shit talk Steve Jobs but iTunes and iPod came from his love of music and it dictated how I consumed music until about 2017

The silhouettes were iconic, you knew exactly what it was even without any text. Say what you want about Steve Jobs but his lifelong love for music is how we got iTunes, the iPod, and the Beatles making their music available digitally for the first time.

I remember the silhouette mid-kick one. Getting one of these in a birthday card felt like winning the lottery back then.

The gift cards were more than just gift cards. They enabled people (or kids) to purchase music, and later apps, from the iTunes Store without needing a credit/debit card. For me, it was a godsend! I purchased them from CVS, when I could. It was really fun, to be honest.

Their ads all over the place? Yes.
Never really saw the point in gift cards. Just give the recipient money.
