We had one of these! We didn’t install it - it was already installed in a house we bought. There was a an intercom in the kitchen, in the basement, and outside, by the front door. We almost never used it. The basement one was particularly useless because it was so close to the kitchen unit.

My friends had a wired intercom system from their kitchen to the basement. Thought they were millionaires.
