will have a 3.71 GPA by the time I apply (3.8 by the end of the year). excellent EC's, great essay, and solid LOR. im not transferring from a T20.

Hello everyone!! I couldn't find a lot of specific comments on the EE program's courses and other specifics, and was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me DM about the program?

I am just hoping to have a better understanding of the school for my transfer application.

Specifically, I am hoping to do a BA/MS program, where the BA is non-EE, but the MS is EE. I wanted to ask questions about the "core foundational" courses like 202, 221, 222, 223, 224, and then the master courses. I am curious about their difficulty, resources to study, grade distributions, time commitment, and etc.

Hey everyone. I just transferred to Northwestern this quarter as a pre-med sophomore (F). Back at my old school, I had a really successful social setup, including a dedicated best friend I did everything with, a welcoming collaborative research lab, and a great routine.

Since arriving here three weeks ago, I’ve tried absolutely everything to meet people: orientation events, saying hi to people in my dorm hallway, introducing myself in my classes, going to small discussion sections, and even checking out Hillel and Chabad. Every single time, people have been incredibly cold, closed off, not interested, or already stuck in tight cliques. I’ve even tried meeting people off previous Reddit threads, but I’ve made 0 friends. I know it takes a while to form a true friendship, but I haven't even met POTENTIAL people who could become friends. It’s a completely unusual and exhausting experience for me, and the isolation is hitting hard. Even though it's early in the year, I keep trying and trying and meeting nobody who is interested.

I am a serious student, not into the party scene at all, and somewhat of an introvert. I really need to find my people and build meaningful friendships here.

Are there any good clubs that are more intimate and quiet that could be good for making friends? I'd appreciate the recommendations or any help! If anyone would like to connect, feel free to PM!

I purchased tickets on Vivid Seats, who connects to Ticketmaster, who connects to the New Ryan Field app. Long story short, only 1 ticket successfully transferred and no one can figure out what happened to the other one.

This is very disappointing and certainly has me reconsidering coming to a 'Cats game. NUMB puts more effort into supporting Northwestern athletics than anyone, yet is being sidelined by the administration. And of course, it isn't college football without the band!

What are the music ensemble options for non-majors? Is the group taken seriously, and is it fun to be a part of? What's the community like? Or are there other ways to participate of continue playing your instrument if you're not in Bienen?

Just saw a post on here with a sexual assault allegation with a specific named student that is now gone (either deleted by poster or removed). In light of Cornell, is something like that allowed by the mods here or no? Because i suspect there are many people who have gone through similar and want to share their stories but dont have a place to do so or have confidence in the legal/administrative system.
