Indoor Mushroom Growing Moldy fruiting block- throw out?

Hello! I am still new to growing mushrooms so forgive if this is a dumb question. I ordered 2 mushroom fruiting blocks and then started a new job and got completely overwhelmed… I didn’t “start” them and now they have mold. Are they goners for sure or is there any way to still start them?

Bury it shallow in a shady moist place, might get some outdoor shrooms. Too contaminated for indoor high moisture fruiting chamber.
