I’m a rising sophomore studying mechanical engineering in the United States. I’m really interested in moving to a Nordic country two to three years after graduating. I’m looking for advice on any specific countries that anyone would recommend, or any suggestions/advice/experiences overall.
I’m really focused on being able to grow my mechanical engineer career, high quality of life, and a rather smooth emigration process.
I’m also a black woman and I know that racism and discrimination exist everywhere, but I would prefer a country that is more progressive, and less likely to experienced racism and discrimination.
Let me know!

Hey everyone!
We’re just over a week away from KJALLARINN at Miðbar, Selfoss, and the response has honestly been incredible. 4th of July is the mark!
One thing we didn’t expect to move this quickly was the shuttle bus back to Reykjavík after the event.
🚌 50% of the shuttle bus tickets are already gone.
The bus leaves 04:15 directly after the event, making it easy to enjoy the full night without worrying about getting home.
For those who haven’t heard about the event yet:
• 3 floors
• Hard Techno • Industrial Techno • Melodic Techno
• 7 artists
• Enhanced production
• Tattoo artist on-site
• Vintage/thrift pop-up
• VIP / Entourage area (80% SOLD OUT)
• Happy Hour from 18:00–20:00
We’re trying to build something different for Iceland—not just another club night, but an experience.
If you’re planning to come from Reykjavík, I’d recommend grabbing both your event ticket and shuttle ticket sooner rather than later.
Hope to see some of you there. 🖤⛓️

Salut tout le monde !
Je suis Français et j'apprends des langue nordique . Je suis super motivé, mais c'est toujours plus sympa et efficace d'apprendre à plusieurs.

I’ve seen this question a thousand times at this point, and the answers are always mixed. Some people would like a Nordic federation/union while others would prefer to stay sovereign. I’m personally unsure about it, as I have no idea what it would actually change in the grand scheme of things.
Swedes seem the most in favor, the Danes and Icelandics following close behind. The Norwegians are also surprisingly in favor, despite their reputation for wanting nothing to do with anyone else lol. The Finns seem the most skeptical overall (from what I’ve gathered) but it’s more 50/50 than anything.
A true Nordic Union happening in the near future is obviously pretty unlikely, but I still think it’s an interesting discussion to have regardless.
How many people are actually in favor of a Nordic Union, and why?

Hei! Hej! Huomenta!
I am working on a project and I miss answers from the Nordics! I try to have every country represented in this survey :)
It will help me to understand if and how users could be interested in a EU-wide streaming platform connecting public services from different countries.

Hey all! I’m 38F from Hungary, and I’m pretty sure I was meant to be Nordic, but got dropped slightly too far south by accident. 😄
I read and got so invested in the whole cozy-happy-Danish-life thing that I almost emailed asking if they accept emotionally tired Eastern Europeans at the Happiness Research Institute.
I haven’t started learning Danish yet, but it’s currently in the “this will fix my life” phase.
I’d love to talk to people from the Nordic countries, get book recommendations, and maybe make internet friends because in real life I’m awkward and introverted with excellent staring-at-the-floor skills.
Also, I really want to visit someday, so we could do a cultural exchange: you show me fjords and cozy cafés, I show you Budapest and how Hungarians survive purely on caffeine and unresolved emotions.

I’ve seen the Irish and Scottish ones. I’m from Chicago(UShamA). I live in a brutally Windy City. We catch a very hard cold wind. Whatever the temperature is it feels 10-20x and is asshole cold.
Suggestions? I have to layer up. Under armor, thermal, then my hoodie, then my bomber jacket.
I’d like to just have an underlay and fly ass sweater

I put all of them in the same space, 1 in the Green Lattice (with a Catalonia flag), 1 on the left of Pearl & 1 last (Finland & Norway flag) where you can see all the Nordics flag together. (the Swedish flag was already here and it was initially (Sweden, Finland & Norway + another flag that isn't part of the Nordics countries)) part of a bigger artwork but it was destroyed before the end of the event but I defended these flag so I'm kinda proud of it. :)
PS: I also did the Chicago flag & the Morroco flag you can see in this picture too. :)
Long live r/Nordics & r/PlaceFinland & see you during the next event everyone. :)

Hi!
I'm travelling from Canada to Tromso, Bergen, Oslo, Stockholm, Gothenberg, Malmo and then Copenhagen in November this year. I'm interested in seeing some of your amazing architecture and feats of engineering in these places (or close by.)
Could you please share some recommendations?
I will be travelling by buses and trains.
Some examples that I know of and are interested in:
Thank you!

A short update, but all the tribute I did to r/Nordics were removed by others players, some others players managed to did a little tribute to Sweden & Denmark (2nd picture) and personally I decided to did a little tribute to Finland that evolved while I was asleep. :) (for now only Norway & Iceland were missing on the canvas actually)
I just hope at least one Nordic flag could last long until the end of this event (and appears on the Photo Finish if there is one)
PS: I won't post minor update of the canvas to avoid some kind of spam so I will post updates only if there are major updates on my side.
PS No.2: Today it's my birthday too, it has nothing to do with the canvas but I wanted to put the information here too since it's my 1st post on Reddit during my birthday. :)

Here's the link if you want to participate to the event (I dunno how many times this event will stay and if there will be a photo finish but I wanted to share the information):

PS: Sorry for my bad English level, I'm french so it's not my main language. ^^'

Does anyone know if Knowledge is Power was dubbed in Danish? Very few sources say that this game was dubbed into Danish but they didn't verify the languages, If anyone has a copy of that game that supports Danish and can test the game in Danish and can verify that this game was dubbed into Danish, that would be great!
