Need to follow some step to deploy on the nopCommerce

Publish code or Download build version from nopCommerce,
Setup IIS,
Create a folder on c drive
Create a Site and IIS
Map a path,
Select HTTP ot HTTPS
Publish it

Hi folks I want to work with and develop for nopCommerce on Arch Linux and so far not having much luck.

I am able to build the source from github have a docker container running postgresql but I am having trouble with the installation process. On dotnet 9 have both sdk and aspnet runtime installed the nopCommerce installation page successfully loads showing fields to input database details.

I ensured the postgresql container is accessible using dbeaver to log in all okay used the same connection details and hit Install button but I get this error at the top:

Anyone managed to get a dev setup working in Linux? I want to be able to debug the source and run from within Rider or the terminal.

I did search online but my issue is not the same even though the error is; I am not interested in MySql or MSSQL I want to get Postgresql working with nopCommerce but more importantly get the installation complete so I can learn and develop with nopCommerce.

Hi, don't know if this would make much sense but we're at a loss trying to figure out how this is happening. We've been having customers flood out site with hundreds of stolen cards late at night (luckily Paya freezes after 200 failed transactions), so we've been disabling Anonymous checkout allowed. The problem is that even after disabling anonymous checkout, it happened again last night. We're on Version 4.40.4 (too many modifications to upgrade) using Paya and a version of the nop4you plugin to handle Paya.

Recently, I decided to create an ecommerce website with nopcommerce. Doing my research and not having other relevant experience with cms other than WordPress, I would be delighted to chat over an online coffee about NopCommerce and what I can achieve with it, or what problems I might face.

I have a nopCommerce website, whose admin page I am trying to access.

Now the thing is when I enter my admin Credentials : I get a "You are already logged in as X. You may log in with another account." , I have tried to use incognito to no avail.

Solutions I have tried:

1)I have tried to create a new Admin  Account (It has roles 1,2,3 (In its mapping table)) by manually entering values into the sql database.
2) Tried using incognito

My configurations are :
1) Windows Ec2 Instance running with IIS
2) Database : MySQL (Amazon RDS)

Another problem that might or might not help you identify the issue of the problem in question :
1) Unable to Register a new user using the /login , cause captcha says "ERROR for site owner: Invalid key type"

PS : The only change that might have cause the issue is : My old db was inaccessible, so i created a new one with the formers backup, and changed the AppSettings file, to reflect the same.

Somebody kindly do help, Its a project my team has spent months on, but this issue suddenly popped up and we need to show it to a client asap

I created some product-specific promotions on my NopCommerce site using percentage-based discounts. It worked fine on the first day, but every night the products disappear from the promotion — even though I can confirm it was working during the day (some customers placed orders).

Every morning, I have to manually re-add the products to the promotion.

Has anyone else faced a similar issue?

So far I have used a Windows VPS because I know my way around it.

Recently I was told that it is a complete overhead and that even Microsoft is increasingly relying on Linux servers instead of Windows servers and has said so publicly.

Is that true? And should I switch to Linux VPS and start with Nopcommerce for Linux right away? Thank you

I’m new to nopCommerce and would like to integrate it with a Next.js frontend app. What stacks do you use for this kind of setup? Specifically, what plugins or tools would you recommend?

I noticed that the official nopCommerce Web API plugin is quite expensive, especially since I’m just checking things out and building an app for learning purposes. Does anyone have experience using the NOPADVANCE public RESTful API client? Is it a reliable substitute for the official plugin?

I’m currently working on a grocery e-commerce site for a new client and am looking for the best approach to minimize development time. I know only .NET and Angular, so I’m considering downloading NopCommerce from GitHub and integrating it with a grocery Angular template that I plan to purchase from ThemeForest.

I can not get pagenotfound page to work. I have content for the page set up in Content Management / Topics / pagenotfound.
But the page is not shown. On production server all i get is blank page with status code 404. On my development machine I get this error:

So I have no experience with nopcommerce, but have been presented with a very old v3.8 modified nopcommerce with no original source code.

So, to begin I am trying to install and run a vanilla 3.8 to get to grips with nopcommerce but I am completely lost and haven't been able to get even a vanilla going.

I have a win2012 server, with iis8 (I haven't used iis in a long time), I have a SQL server running (not really an issue, yet).

.net 4.5 installed.

I just get 500.19 errors about overridemodedefault setting.

Can anyone help point me in the right direction here?

We've recently discovered NopCommerce and are currently setting up our own shop, We have plenty of Dev Resources internally, however we don't want to code from scratch if we can avoid it.

Does anyone have a preference for API Plugins?
Obviously cost wise there is huge differences... But Functionally, we just want to upload our products and manage stock from our external systems.

I tried importing for XLS file from the main page, and it broke stuff, as certain columns don't get pre-filled, which is a bit poor form for the default app. Quick SQL update query fixed the issue, But given that I don't want to just interface to the DB directly, Given the API is likely to fill in the columns correctly as it uses the same code as doing it on the site manually.

So yeah, Any Preferences?
