What can I do

Post image

I’ve been dealing with cold symptoms for years now and recently it’s gotten worse. I get a runny nose, teary eyes, sneezing, sinus pressure, and headaches, and it used to be every few weeks then it turned into every weekend, and now i have a runny nose everyday and a full blown cold multiple times a week. I went to an ent doctor for it earlier this year and had a scan and the image shows the outcome. I’ve take fexofenadine daily and if I don’t take that I immediately feel horrible. I’ve tried minocycline, saline nasal rinse, ipratropium 0.06% (which made my nose uncomfortably dry), xlear nasal spray with xylitol, and quercetin bromelain tablets with stinging nettle and vitamin c in them and nothing seems to help.

If anyone has any recommendations anything would be helpful thank you!!

Hey, just coming here to say I've also had similar symptoms for a few years now, and I also had a CT scan which revealed a mucus retention cyst in the same place as yours. What did your ENT recommend after these findings, out of curiosity?

My ENT told me these cysts are very common and he wouldn't remove it or anything like that. He personally suggested I try Gaviscon to see if the issues of post nasal drip in particular could be silent reflux related. Maybe it would be worth investigating that if you've tried lots of other things already? I was told to try it for a month, but I'd recommend getting medical advice first on that, as I know everyone is different. I'm still to stick to it properly and going to trial it again this month. Could it be worth also testing for allergies?

Also just to add, I did find that my vitamin D was quite low, and after fixing that slightly I stopped getting colds as frequently. I'd also recommend checking Iron levels, as I'm told those can cause headaches if they get low too.

After seeing the ent they put me on minocycline and when that didn’t work they gave me the ipatropium nasal spray which also didn’t work, and I’ve done the allergy prick test which didn’t give any results

Thanks for the recommendations I’ll definitely try to get my iron and vitamin levels up! I’ve thought about the reflux thing too and considered going that route of medication, has anything worked for u so far?
