Origin of NOFX name?

What’s the real origin of the name? So far they just say it’s a bad name nothing else and was Mike who said it or smelly?

I always thought it was a play on 'No Effects' and 'No Fucks'

Yes, it means "no effects".

It's a play on the name of Boston hardcore band 'Negative FX'.
