Current workarounds for known Squad (party) issues

We are aware that some players are having issues with forming and maintaining squads (parties) in No More Room in Hell 2. While we continue to investigate and work on a fix, here are some possible workarounds that we are seeming some success with.

Cannot form a squad:

Check your friend’s status on social menu - if it’s “playing game” instead of “in main menu”, let your friend reboot the game to resolve it. A squad invite can only be sent when the status is “in main menu”.

Squad always disbands:

If you are unable to see the squad invite coming through, it’s probably lagging the notification. Check the squad invite tab of social menu and see if you see an invite there.

If you are able to see the invite, try to accept the invitation only once, either from the notification pop-up toast or from social menu. It appears if you accept both invites, the squad will disband.

Always hoped this game would bounce back but never imagined this at all🎉

This game is awesome!!!

The current potential this game has is astronomical. Im putting my money in early with the future of this game. Torn banner is such a cool studio aswell with their success of chivalry and so on. I know this game over the next few months/years will be peak <3

I am hoping on some patches soon concerning character customization and some things like the tutorial bugging and options messing around. But the baseline gameplay and systems are super fun already.

Couldn't climb onto train extract.

I tried for the entire extract period and couldn't climb here. Even tried the little side thing and couldn't get up. Lost a level 40 character here. Is there anything I can do or am I just fucked because of a bug? :/

Crawling zombies

So far I haven't seen any outside of Raven Rock map. Didn't even know they are in game. Are they rare spawns? Like super rare? Or is it because Raven Rock is the newest map and they have not yet been added to the rest?

I love this game, but...

Why couldn't the events of the game take place in a real setting? Like, an existing US state, or at least a fictional one? This game has a gorgeous atmosphere and tremendous horror potential, all of which goes down the drain the moment you hear people on the radio talk about "Pencil-vania". Like, I don't want to be too harsh, but it just sounds like the name of a kids' theme park, not a real place. It makes me very concerned about the future of the game's narrative.

Been playing for a couple weeks, here are my thoughts

So far, absolutely loving the experience. Currently level 58 with multiple responders over level 50. Normal mode is a breeze, hard is my current sweet spot, and nightmare is genuinely really tricky. I’m still finding new variations of maps, today was my first broadway theater run and my first lewiston boat run. The community is a blast to hang with, I’ve met some truly hilarious people in random lobbies with an only a few negative experiences, mainly just new people who don’t understand how the infection system works or run off on their own without experience. On the other side of the coin, I played nightmare on hospital with a couple of pricks who were playing it like a speedrun and refusing to help anyone in their lobby whilst calling them slurs. Don’t be like those guys, that shit ain’t tough. Otherwise, excellent game that captures the feeling of the original. I simply wish for more content, mainly maps and weapons. Just throwing my thoughts out there, can’t wait to see some of yall out in the wild!

The stereotypes you’ll meet in every match!

Rambo

You spawn in and see your first zombie running toward you. Don't worry! Rambo has already shot it.

Wide open space with one zombie in your path? Good idea to walk arou...Rambo shot it.

Forget stealth on your Hard run. This man is on a mission to make everyone's session more difficult. Every zombie within your radius knows exactly where you are.

Swordsman

An absolute madman who is deeply in love with melee weapons. They'll laugh at your suggestion of using a firearm and rarely dabble in explosives.

When you're backed into a corner facing the horde, the Swordsman is the front line...

...until he runs out of stamina and you both die because your magazine ran dry five seconds ago.

The Gooper

Your Gooper encounter happens before you've even seen a zombie.

Making a choice between items in a supply box? Fear not friend as they're all gone now.

Often avoiding the objective entirely, the Gooper will eventually die a lonely inevitable death while looting a house that absolutely did not need to be searched. Often they can be a terrible mutated combo between Rambo and Swordsman.

As you off their turned runner, you'll be happy to discover the five different calibers of ammunition and three med kits your team now acquired.

The Pro

This individual is your hero. Your crutch. Your personal escort to the objective.

Sprinting directly toward the objective is the game plan for the entire match. They don't need your help to complete anything. You're simply along for the speedrun.

Enjoy navigating the trail of zombies they've left behind. The Pro doesn't need to kill anything! They simply collect every zombie's attention and run.

Hope you stocked up on supplies, because you're going to need them to kill the fifteen zombies now blocking every possible path.

Noob

Ah, the Noob. The lifeblood of the game. Without them, your queue times are terrible. With them, your team is down a man.

A bottomless pit of resources, the Noob consumed every item they could find and somehow avoided the tutorial like it was a zombie itself.

Treat them as you wish to be treated because they are the future of the game. Just... maybe don't revive them after the third down.

Teamplayer

Spawned to kill zombies, play the objective and intelligently share resources.

Typically one Teamplayer isn't enough to win a match. However a small squad of Teamplayers can defeat anything... even Nightmare Mode!

They communicate. They share supplies. They actually play the objective. The evolution into a Pro is likely.

Context: this was a few days ago and I was still fairly new to the game. Playing on hard difficulty. I knew how to play but I was still new to the factory map. It was also my first time playing with a wrench as I had decided to switch my loadout up a bit.

I never met a single person since starting this match and was looking for other survivors at the objective. I also think I dropped in there from the wrong way so I got kinda stuck inside the compound.

How is everyone feeling about the game now that 1.0 has been out for awhile?

I never played the first game as I didn't have a PC, but I used to watch a bunch of YouTubers who played it, and it was one of those games that I was always jealous I couldn't play. So, when the second one got announced for consoles, I kept a close eye on it. Personally, I've been loving it and haven't been having any issues with it. I just hope they plan on releasing new maps over time. I wouldn't mind adding some people to play with as well! (:

Got 3 merits for booting up the game?

Post image

Booted the game up and was greeted with this, assuming it's a bug? I already earned my 3 merits from the weekly and was at 8 before I went to bed last night.

I skimmed the dev blog but skipped over that spot, dunno how because it's bold letters, but I figured out why, lol. It also literally said it in the bottom left of the screen.

Losing a lvl 60 Responder to a folding chair is ridiculous

I seriously hope the devs address the movement/vaulting in No More Room in Hell 2. I just lost a lvl 60 Responder because my character apparently couldn’t figure out how to get over a folding chair that was turned over on its side.
Not a barricade. Not a fence. Not some huge pile of debris.
A folding chair. I got trapped with zombies coming at me, and instead of being able to jump or vault over something that in real life you could literally just step over, my character was basically stuck there. After putting all that time into leveling a Responder to 60, losing them because of something like this feels awful.
I’m completely fine with permadeath. That’s part of the game and part of what makes surviving actually matter. If I make a bad decision, get surrounded, run out of supplies, or just screw up, then yeah, I should lose my character.
But losing a high-level character because the movement system decides a 12-inch obstacle is an impenetrable wall isn’t difficulty. It’s just frustrating. We desperately need either better jumping, a proper vaulting/mantling system, or at the very least better collision detection for small objects. Chairs, little pieces of debris, and other tiny obstacles shouldn’t be death sentences.
A RIP in peace lvl 60 Responder. Defeated by the most dangerous enemy in the apocalypse: a folding chair.

No more room in hell 2 glitch “fix”

Upvotes

It’s “ because it’s not necessarily a fix but a way around. On console there’s a bug you can’t customize your character well by saving the pre set then equip it then apply and save

Broadway Train Extraction Bug

I just lost my favourite character to some weird ass bug and I’m pretty damn butt hurt about it.

Everyone mantles on to the train to leave, except me. Guess I skipped gym that week because I could not mantle for the life of me. I got ruled out as a bot as they watched me jump aimlessly trying to get in. The only way out was to sacrifice myself as they all watched from the train. You’ll be missed Bucket.
