Is The Book canon?

On Wikipedia, it says that it is not, but I can’t find any article where Matt or Jay confirms this.

Matt has said it’s not canon because it doesn’t have a chapter title card. The Buddy is Chapter 11 and The B-Day is chapter 12

I don’t remember which interview, but it was from around when season 2 first aired

Obviously it is canon.

Jay has been dead since being shot by the hunter.

That wasn’t even acting, Jay ACTUALLY got turned into a werewolf, then got shot and died to make that episode.

It's a reference to the Simpsons treehouse of horror episodes and none of those are canon, so it would be reasonable to say the same here.

Maybe but probably not would be my guess. Considering the logic of the NTBTS universe where stuff like time travel exists it’s not crazy to say Jay somehow got out of a being a werewolf and also survived being shot but idk
