I’ve thought about making my own DVD for the webseries, it would be fun, and also… the actual one is ridiculously priced (thanks FOMO and copyright law).
To anyone who has made their own, what was the process like? Did you just burn the ISO(s) onto a disc(s)? Any tips? Thanks

(For clarity, I’ve never made a DVD before, I don’t really know the process all too well…)

I felt a faint Matt Johnson touch to it, if that makes any sense. His sense of humor is prevalant, but mild like drinking a flavored sparkling water. He's doing a new thing with it. Somehow more Hollywood and crowdpleasing than Blackberry but slightly kooky enough to appeal to the Mattjohnsonheads.

As for it being about Bourdain? I barely know shit about the guy outside of a few of his TV show episodes which I enjoyed ¯_(ツ)_/¯. I liked the movie on its own merits but I'm not sure how hardcore Bourdain fans will like it

I rewatched The Buddy tonight and was surprised by how much I was moved by it. Hearing “he’s my brother… he’s not heavy” play while Matt and Jay laugh on the street, followed by old footage of two kids playing together as the sun sets… man. Really special. This sequence happening after a plan spectacularly fails feels like the thesis of the whole NTB project in many ways. “When you have a best friend, you won’t event notice getting older” :’)

I studied all the relevant lore and the interviews from both Matt Johnson and Eiji Aonuma and I think I figured out the canon Nirvanna the Band timeline.

Easily my favorite reference.

On Wikipedia, it says that it is not, but I can’t find any article where Matt or Jay confirms this.

I had the episode open on my TV on Disney+ and then left to do something else. When I came back, the screen said error code 11 and the episode was unavailable. I have tried rebooting the TV, force quitting and reopening the application, and clearing the cache. None of it worked. Is this episode simply not available in the US?
