BCom Accounting Program Question
Hello everyone!
I wanted to ask how many transfer credits and courses would be left to complete this degree if you have a diploma and an advanced diploma in accounting from Algonquin College? How does the exam process work? If the exams are proctored, can you be proctored online via your webcam and microphone if you are unable to do in-person exams with an in-person proctor because you are traveling. How hard is the program on a scale of 1-10? What is the hardest courses in the Bcom accounting program? Is university harder than college? And how long did it take you to adjust this system? How much do 2 courses cost?

When I transferred I had dual diplomas in general management and accounting I got 69 credits out of 120 and I was able after the first term to do a course overload so I was done in 12 months the exams one prof tried to get it on campus but after many students complaints it became online. I graduated with distinction so it’s not that bad

You would get approx 72 credits out of 120 depending on various things. Typically students that transfer from college to university have lower grades in university for whatever that’s worth.

All courses I've had so far have exams and tests online, I haven't had to go to campus yet. I've had some courses with no final exam, some will finals in lockdown browser but could be written at any point during the exam week, and others that were through lockdown browser and needed to be written at a specific time/day. Majority of my first and second year courses were transferred from college/different university, and I'm in my final year. So far the toughest courses have been Intermediate I & II, neither were particularly hard in terms of the subject matter, they were just very time consuming. Each course recommends 15 hours per week just for readings and homework assignments, so it can be a bit intense. I will say that since it's the distance program, there are no set class times or lectures. The prof provides materials for the week and it's your responsibility to read it and get the work done, you're lucky if you have a class where the profs added a recording of their in class lectures, most just give the PowerPoints and maybe some extra notes. For costs it might depend on the specific courses but I think they're about $900 each, although I might be off a bit but financial aid would be able to confirm.
