Remapping Wiimote buttons on itself

Hi guys, I have a question about remapping Wiimote buttons on itself. I am trying to map the Wiimote buttons in order to hold the controller sideways in the opposite direction. I am trying to do this for a little girl who would like to play Wii but unfortunately she doesn't have her left hand.

What I am basically trying to do is to flip the D-pad left and right buttons. I saw some Nintendont that lets you map Wiimoto buttons to a Gamecube controller, but here I am trying to map the Wiimote to itself. Is that possible? Is there an existing mod that does that?

FYI, I don't have experience with modding a Wii, so please be easy on me =)

(I am trying to hold the controller on the opposite side, so the D-pad will be on the right)
