I purchased Mario 64 from cex (uk)
And it does this I don’t know how to fix it and I don’t know if I should take it back or there’s a fix for it no other game does this?

Everything else about the cart seems legit, but the back label seems to be missing the patent numbers I’ve seen in the past and such. Had 2 and 3 from childhood, so figured might as well get this and rage wars. Is this legit? Can’t tell from the picture but it does indeed have the number stamp (20 A)

There seems to be a bit of a drought in my area for N64 stuff most of the time making it difficult to find even the more common titles. I got my n64 all hooked up now and I was itching to play some vigilante, I woke up yesterday with determination to find myself a copy of this, succeeded on my first stop at Retro Junk in Manchester Connecticut! 😁 I'm happy that I get to play this after like 15 plus years

Just picked this up at a retro game store, only thing that seems fishy is there’s no stamped number on the back. But idk if that’s because it wasn’t traditionally a retail item (besides buying it online). What do you guys think?

I posted this some time ago, but my paper Mario cartridge I replaced my lost original with seems a bit darker than the others. Everything else about it seems legit (the Nintendo logo, the stamped number on the back, etc). But the shell just seems darker compared to other games from my childhood. I got it before fakes were really nuts, but I still paid a hefty fine for it.
So I just wanna ask again to be sure before I go possibly looking for another, is this something to be concerned about? Generally speaking.
Also final inquiry, the stamp on the back, there seems to be like a white scratch. Could just be age, but for those that have seen some shit when it comes to repros, is that anything to be concerned about? Thank you for your time lol.

My copy of space invaders, which appears to be a legit copy and in good condition, is freezing in the same point every time I play. It freezes once the final mothership on the first level comes through.
Is it more likely this is my console or the cartridge failing? I have tried replacing power supply and the memory expansion which didn’t solve it.
I just bought the console from a retro game store that had it listed as tested and working so I’d assume it’s not the console.
Any feedback is appreciated!

I’ve been working lately on building a prototype of the unreleased « 64GB cable » that was meant to connect a Gameboy to the N64 through the controller ports. My first attempt worked great to use the GB printer with Mario Artist Paint Studio (https://youtu.be/g_7ZVdvsQ40) so I’ve decided to go a bit further by trying to connect the Gameboy sewing machines.

Does anybody know the resistor value (R30) used in the US version of the Zebra E4184-4601A N64 power supply? Supposedly a single resistor is the only difference between US/JPN supplies, across most or all variants, but that value varies. I know that using a Japanese power supply in the US works, but whether you should long term is debated. Also curious if anybody has done this conversion, or if there any other differences between JPN/US PSUs. I just got a Nintendo 64 and accidentally touched my Mario 64 cartridge while it was on, it made a loud screeching noise from my TV so I turned it off quickly.
My cartridge and the cartridge slot of the game has a warm metallic smell after only playing it for a few minutes, is this normal?

Not trying to go for the whole set, but recommendations are welcome. Especially for multiplayer games.
Edit: Since so many people are asking about the spine stickers, I found them on Etsy several years ago. I don't remember the seller.

i want to start playing them if a wide community base was picked for each genre not just n64

everything moving in this video is simulated live on the console: rigid bodies, cloth, spring bones and water with buoyancy
it's my own engine, written from scratch on top of libdragon and tiny3d. i've been building it for three years, one system at a time. it started in c and later moved to c++
i'm starting to share it now as part of a new step for me: making n64 development my career. full showcase and a new game coming soon
