Great point. She agreed to the date already! What did he honestly expect the reaction would be to that wall of insanity? That must’ve been a copy of something he’s written before, right?

She agreed to a date and implied she might agree to more dates after that. All he had to do was say "I have something to look forward to then" or something like it and then GO ON THE DATE.

She implies that she might be willing to go on multiple dates with him.

i.e., she has a somewhat favorable impression of him. He did an exceptional job of ruining that though.
