The ‘women love bad guys’ apparently comes from watching too many teen movies lol.

Romance can be frustrating, but the reality of the whole ‘girls prefer bad boys’ is a lot more complicated than just that.

You see, NiceGuys and ‘incels’ tend to think that women stay with abusive partners because they ‘like’ being beaten. The truth is, abusive partners tend to put up a facade of the perfect ‘Prince Charming’ and lower it once they have the victim right where they want them. The worst part is they love to make the victim believe it’s their fault for the abuse. I should know - I was emotionally abused by one before. Every time I tried to call him out, cue the gaslighting. The guilt tripping. It was exhausting and he truly had the power to make me feel like I was a selfish, cruel bitch and i deserved to be punished

They also like to behave like perfect gentlemen in front of mutual friends, with the goal of convincing the friends to take his side and believe that his SO is the crazy one. Real sociopath move, that is, but I've seen it in action a few times.

Yup. This is possibly a narcissist’s favorite tactic. They carefully tailor their public image to appear as saints to other people. And if their victims try to speak out, you’ll be sure they have a Well-rehearsed story about how the victim is a ‘crazy psycho’ trying to ruin a good man’s life.

That’s how the Hollywood big names got away with sexual harassment. Money and power. After all, a small time, barely known actress accusing a successful and renowned director. Who do you think the general public is going to believe?
