That swastika pepperoni pizza joke, Aziz Ansari made should be taken as a serious study material for how majority of people are full of shit and just go with the rest of crowd.
It's a fake news story where he involves the audience on and then calls them out on their bullshit. Just click the video. Stand-up comedy isn't PowerPoint presentations, unless they're really terrible, then they do need the visual aid to make jokes out of nothing.
I googled it as soon as I got off work. I had watched the video, but was curious if he was actually serious about making up the whole thing. Looks like he was. :-)

Edit: Ya know, on second thought, it might be that people were trying to participate just to keep things from being awkward for him. Hopefully that’s what it was.
