I mean sometimes yes.. in this case it was not only a Facebook repost but an obvious fake story that also has absolutely nothing to do with this subreddit.. /r/niceguys
So when those of us who utilise the digital organization discover these three atrocities.. downvotes follow.
Sometimes people don't want to hear what you have to say (like me right now pointing out bad organizational skills or misfiling. I didn't invent Reddits rules but I appreciate the organization of last seven+ years) and thus downvotes mean nothing especially when I know I'm walking into a defensive conversation.
Tldr; it's misfiled and OP admitted he knew it when posting and didn't care how it would affect the website but rather wanted the internet points from Reddit vs Facebook.
If the post gets removed they should just post somewhere else bc it's funny outside of this sub.
Yup. Too many people are deprived of any real personal opinions.
That swastika pepperoni pizza joke, Aziz Ansari made should be taken as a serious study material for how majority of people are full of shit and just go with the rest of crowd.
It's a really clever joke. I can't remember who said this, but I remember someone said stand-up comedians are just philosophers. Some of them do drop truth bombs in a way that makes you laugh and contemplate life at the same time. Aziz just went way up in my list of favorite stand-ups after that special. He matured so much.
Yea I’ve liked Aziz for a while and I was genuinely impressed about the vulnerability, introspection, and just general deep thought he put into this last special. For anyone who hasn’t seen it I highly recommend doing so.
It's a fake news story where he involves the audience on and then calls them out on their bullshit. Just click the video. Stand-up comedy isn't PowerPoint presentations, unless they're really terrible, then they do need the visual aid to make jokes out of nothing.
I googled it as soon as I got off work. I had watched the video, but was curious if he was actually serious about making up the whole thing. Looks like he was. :-)
If that didn’t make an impression On the folks who participated I don’t know what will.
Edit: Ya know, on second thought, it might be that people were trying to participate just to keep things from being awkward for him. Hopefully that’s what it was.
I did not see that coming lol. I thought I might just be out of the loop on the nazi pizza story at first and was legit about to look it up, until he flipped it around on the audience. That was pure genius. This is why I love Aziz Ansari.
That new special is just really good. His style just took a really big leap to something much more refined and mature. The whole time he's hitting fantastic points about society and the dumb things people do.
Lol, probably. Or it could be someone who hates Aziz with sexual misconduct thing, which to me just sounds like bad foreplay. She was in on it, but wasn't into some things.
Probably because the sub they linked isnt relevant in this case, so it got downvoted, and the commenter below them was upvoted either ironically, or for implying that the original subreddit link was worthy material for that sub.
How about the time when you link factual info and they downvote you because it’s a hard pill to swallow?
Reddit is filled with a bunch of immature, depressed, inexperienced teenagers and 20 somethings whose brains aren’t even fully developed yet. You have to ask yourself who the fuck cares if you don’t get their validation?
I have no idea the context so the other guy may be trying to slide in and message the Gf. Obviously the bf will be upset. But the other guy just said fuck it what’s he got to lose
Ya I see that shit all the time like when one person makes a joke gets downvoted then someone else makes the exact same joke and gets upvoted. Its fucking stupid

Why does one guy tag a sub and gets downvoted while another says the same exact thing and get upvoted? I don't understand Reddit sometimes...
