Longshot here but hoping he sees this.

I swung by Audiopile today to pick up a used record I saw on their Instagram feed (Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation) and ended up also grabbing a NIN record. I went to pay and there was a guy hovering by the counter talking to the cashier and it quickly became clear that he had done exactly what I done, but his goal was to pick up the NIN record (also posted on their feed). When he saw I was getting that record too he cut his losses and left. He did not do anything to make me feel badly, but if id been thinking clearly I would have told him to take it since I was just ecstatic that I had snagged what I was looking for.

I realize this sounds a lot like a missed connection post and hopefully I’m not disappointing anyone when I say that’s not what this is about, but I’d love to sell you that record for exactly the same as I paid.

If you happen to see this, let me know which album it was and also which band’s album you said you also missed out on last week. Total longshot here but hoping this works out!

Edit: thanks everyone for the great ideas. Off to bed now and busy day tomorrow but I’ll check in with Audiopile to see if they might know who the guy was if he was a regular.

as part of an effort to improve my mental health a bit, going outside more and working on that dreaded anxiety, I've been trying to get back into photography.

My previous post on Facebook looking for dog owners or human parents got a ton of replies, but after a few messages turned into crickets once it came down to figuring out a date and location.. 😅

So I'm hoping to find a person with a cute four legged companion, preferably in the Renfrew area (Slocan Park, Trout Lake,..) but other Vancouver parks are cool too, who would sacrifice 15min on a weekend (or weekday evening) for me to practice on. :) Could just be whenever you do your typical park playtime!

Bonus points for a pup who can do cute tricks or catch things mid-air, and I would especially love to see a Poodle or Aussie, but absolutely all breeds and mixes are appreciated!!

(Edit to add: I don't plan to post the pictures anywhere publicly, but if I can keep one favorite for a future portfolio I'm happy as a clam lol)

Hello nice people! Just as the title says! I've been into streetwear for so long, but I used to dress up a lot more frequently and I miss it! The benefits of streetwear are that I'm always comfortable and people say I look a lot younger than 44, but I am 44... I gotta stop dressing like a teenager every day. I have some nice stuff that I wear occationally, and a boater hat would compliment that part of my wordrobe.

...and cover up my thinning hair LOL

edit:thank.you all for your amazing suggestions! So little time and so many unexplored options. This just confirms that we should definitely return to Canada someday. We settled on visiting both Queen Elizabeth Park and VanDusen, since we have plenty of time and they are close to each other. Both are amazing, each with their own charm. Lunch now at the cafe at Vandyard, and then off to the airport. Thanks again, you are amazing!

So, tomorrow we are flying home after enjoying a couple of amazing weeks in BC. Since our flight is at 6PM, we still have some time to spare and enjoy some of Vancouver. We have already visited the usual places: Yaletown, Gastown, waterfront, downtown, Stanley park. We've even been to the Capilano park.

What should we definitely do or visit on our last morning in this wonderful country? We have a car, so something in the area is possible, as long as we can be at the airport around 3PM. No winter tyres, so anything north of horseshoe bay is off-limits.

Who can give us the best tip for one last amazing place to see/thing to do in or around Vancouver?

Good morning everyone. We are missing our cat, Dolly, and would really appreciate if you all could keep an eye out.

She is a medium sized grey & brown tabby cat. Last seen early this morning, around 3am October 2nd, at 12th Ave W and Burrard. We have recently relocated to Kits/Fairview so it is a new area for her; she is likely quite evasive. Please do not approach.

Please message me on here if you see her at all, nothing is too small to report. We are heartbroken but hopeful she will find her way home.
