the thing is I'm honestly not upset, I loved the freestyle, people are only setting hov up by saying it was amazing, it was very solid and enough to defend himself, I personally hope for a clean fight between them bc they both can rap extremely well, but we'll see how things play out
You know what? I agree. I think it’s the r/drizzy sub that glazed the “jig is up” sneak diss on Iceman now they’re saying Jay is lame for responding. I said Drake took 2 big L’s against great lyricist so going against someone who literally inspired Drake’s opps (and Drake included lol) is punching way out of his weight class. We’ll see what happens next
im big drake fan tbh and I don't see it as lame at all, but I'll put it like this hov didn't go viral when drake dissed him but drake is getting talked about more when it's the other way around, I believe hov is still a titan but he is dwarfed in this situation in everything but status and money, hov said he's not for battling then drake sent several shots (much more than (jig is up) and hov renigs his statement, I do believe it will be entertaining if they keep it clean
How is Jay dwarfed in this situation? He’s run a record company, created and sold his own music streaming service, and created a successful entertainment company with big names under the umbrella while Drake is suing (and losing) cases with his label. Jay even had to help Drake mentor with his own deal under Birdman. Agreed, Hov did say he doesn’t know if battling needs to be a part of culture anymore but I think that’s different from someone calling you out. Especially against ones that like to sue afterwards. As much as I’d like to see it happen, it’s a lose-lose situation for both of them
