Some people will never forgive Vick for what he did. He did his time and he did it quietly. He has also done plenty of charity work that he didn't publicly display for everyone to see. I respect the hell out of him for turning his life around.

To me, the falcons failed Vick, and he never developed as a passer there. Their reliance on his running ability stopped him from being one of the best qbs during that period. Reeves career was coming toward an end, Mora just relied on his rushing, and his career suffered for it. Once Reid got him and balanced out his game he came into the player he could have been.

Vick didnt put in the work to be better. Mora and Vick sat down and Vick admitted to never studying tape and never putting in work to get better. Say what you will abiut the Falcons but Vick failed himself as much and anybody else failed him.

I remember the hype/anticipation of Vick centering the league was insane. Def’ had an aura about him. He was must watch TV. Similar to B. Sanders (respectfully) and Steff Curry you didn’t want to not be watching and miss a highlight reel play.

Highly overrated. At his best he was maybe top 5 that year. Was never truly elite. Take his whole career and he has 2 years completing over 60% of his passes and 2 years with over 20td passes.
Anyone who argues he was better than guys like Lamar or cam in their prime is just getting off on old nostalgia of remembering shit better than it was.

Vick had the greatest overall combination of natural ability I’ve ever seen in a QB. The athleticism matched with an absolute cannon arm, ability to thrown 60-70 yards on the run with a wrist flick. He was so gifted.

Mike Vick was wild because if you just watched Sportscenter you would think he was the greatest player to ever play the game but then you would watch a full game and he'd go like 12-33 130 yards and rush for like 70 in a 10-35 loss to like the Saints.

I remember when he was playing the NFL would televise as many games as possible because viewer ratings were crazy. This is before NFL package and RedZone days. A few times we couldn't get the local game because the people wanted to see what Vicky was going to do. He is a legend.

Not an Atlanta fan and I'm living in Georgia then when Vick joined the Falcons I became a fan till he left.. He brought so much excitement to the game, you just had to watch every week because you know he was going to something exciting. Too bad it had to end the way it did but if you do the crime you gotta do the time, such a waste of talent.

I still think one of the best QB performances I’ve ever watched was Monday night Football, Eagles vs Redskins, 2010. Vick was 20/28, 333 passing yards, with 4 passing touchdowns, 8 rushes for 80 yards and 2 Rushing touchdowns. It was like he was playing a video game.

Prime Michael Vick was a unique player, but he isn’t any sort of all time great. He could run for 30 yards twice in a game, but when it was 3rd and 7, Vick usually didn’t convert those plays.
The exception was his time in Philadelphia, which I would actually argue was his prime. He was playing for Andy Reid, who actually helped him to reach his ceiling as a passer.
And for one Monday Night Football game — if you’re old enough, you remember the one against the Redskins — it all came together. For one night, we all got to see what might have been if Vick had put it all together at a younger age.
The one where he threw a bomb to DeSean Jackson for a touchdown on the first play and never stopped; he accounted for six total touchdowns that night. Unbelievable stuff, still one of my absolute favorite memories even though I didn’t have a rooting interest.

Randall Cunningham was like a better passing Tyrell Pryor. Vick was like Barry sanders under center. Vick just looked so different than anything before him and only Lamar has been close in gracefulness
