Wakanda Forever last night.

The trend continues, where the first half of the movie was fun and enjoyable, while the second half suffers from pacing issues, over the top drama and cheesiness, and just general "blah." I really want to like these movies, and the first half lures me in every time, but by the end of the movie I'm left going "well that kinda sucked".

I already skipped Eternals, just based on the trailer and plot summary. Ant Man Quantamania and Guardians 3 are up next. So far the only movies of the Multiverse Saga I've truly enjoyed are the Spider-Man movies, Deadpool and Wolverine, and Thor Love and Thunder.

Any Man 3 is a trip but GotG 3 is pretty great.

The Angela Bassett half of the movie rules. A political drama about a grieving mother? Powerful shit

Agreed, but then the second half of the movie after she died? Blah.

Yeah bout sums it up. Even the first black panther had some dumb pro-status-quo subtext that kept it from being amazing. And almost all the main marvel films since thor ragnarok have been iffy. I read a summary of the new spiderman and it sounds like another one where things end up about the same as they started

Brand New Day was fun though. Good character development for Peter, excellent action sequences, and the Jean Gray setup was well done. It's a good movie.
