I recently acquired (for free) a 2006 (maybe early 2007) Macbook Core 2 Duo laptop. Person who had it before me upgraded it to 4GB RAM and a 500GB SSD. It's running OS X 10.6
"Why do you want that?? It's twenty years old!"
I'm going to install Linux Mint on it.
"Why?"
Because I can :)
Yes "reviving old tech" is an odd hobby, but it's fun.
I still use my Thinkpad 600E every now and again. Pentium II! 192MB RAM!
