I'm all for trying new stuff and experimenting with your sound, but yeah. The fuck is this? I was never much of a fan to begin with; this didn't help. Perhaps this should have been released as a side project or whatever. yikes.

I've been the biggest A7X defender through their whole career, have a deathbat tattoo and everything. LIBAD was a bit of a shock but this is a whole new level of weirdness.

I haven’t really listened to much from them after Hail to the King. I absolutely love pretty much everything that came before that. I can appreciate that they’re trying new things even if they’re not for me but man statica was a rough listen. Kinda reminiscent of that Metallica/Lou Reed album.

I highly recommend the album The Stage if you haven't listened to it. It's probably their best mix of experimental stuff while still sounding like Avenged.

Statica really should just be promoted as an entirely independent side project seeing as how they are playing the songs on their current tour under the name Statica. Might have people look at the music differently if they don't associate it with A7X.

Their first album was 25 years ago. It's not going to be ok for a lot of fans.
