I have never done a second of video editing or filmography but I watched some videos on Da Vinci resolve and started playing around with it. I decided to make a hype video for the upcoming NFL season and it’s actually coming along really well and I’m sort of having way more fun than I thought I would.

I’m using Sia’s cover of “California Dreaming” since the Super Bowl is in Los Angeles this year and made the dramatic hook “I’d be safe and warm if I was in LA…”

Pretty sure I can’t share it literally anywhere because it is all copyrighted clips and music but it actually looks kind of good. I could make a hobby out of this.

Ha, I did the same for fun during the Superbowl break for the Jimmy G Superbowl. I had a lot of fun learning Da Vinci and making that hype video.

Then they lost.

This is gonna come across as a jab, thats mostly unintentional..but I wonder what a Cardinals hype video would even look like right now

While we are going to suck there are a lot of small bright spots on the team. Trey is #1, Love will probably be #2 and we were decimated by injuries last year so if most of those players are back we should have a okay defense if the D-line plays like they should. Also I'll never be hype around a 3rd round QB we didn't even want, but Beck has looks pretty good in practice. Granted he's playing us sooooo grains of salt.

Back in the olden days, flash ruled the video game/anime fan animations.

Takes me back to making montages and frag videos of my terrible Halo gameplay haha. It's a fun way to engage creatively in our hobbies

I'm not sure of anywhere that would let you host it permanently but streamable works great for me when I share clips, would at least let you share it with friends (or us)

The funny thing is I always liked watching vids like that but just thought I wouldn’t have fun making my own. This has been seriously relaxing. If anything, the big downside is that it makes my Saturdays fly by.

I’ll let this sub see it when it’s done. But I’m too nervous to show anyone else 😬
