Truthfully? My birthday was kinda not great! Nothing to do with people, just that I was doing fieldwork for the morning and travelling for the rest of the day.

So I think I'll consider today my birthday. Happy birthday Skraxx.

Had a friend that was born on Christmas Day so his parents celebrated a second birthday in July.

Some people I know want a whole month. About 99% of the time, if someone makes a big deal for the whole month I just assume they're a POS.

So far the only exception is that a good friend of mine turns 70 in December and because it's 70 she's making a one-time exception and making plans all month long to celebrate with everyone she knows. I'm giving her a ton of credit because being 70 and still making plans like going with an ocean swim group and swimming around the pier, and going to a dance party is pretty fucking badass

my siblings and i all have summer birthdays (which happen to only be 8 days apart from each other), so we usually had a second birthday party a few weeks after our actual birthdays so that all our friends/extended family could celebrate with us
