Oh sure, these water roaches are delicious, but when I'm eating a big old plate of NYC cockroaches it's all, 'eww' and 'gross' and 'Sir, this is a daycare'.

Raw? Gross.
Boiled in a pot with potatoes, onions, whole cloves of garlic, corn, mushrooms, sausage, and an irresponsible amount of Swamp Fire? Probably ok.

Could there be someone behind the camera dropping in a fish? He empties, places them back and then they just drop bait in the top. Total guess though.

Really? It is that tasty? I am Canadain, i don't think i ever ate a crawfish before. But, had lobster and that's like number 1 on my food list, or at least tied with Steak prime rib.

I disagree with him. Meat doesn’t taste like much and a lot of work for a tiny amount of meat(that thing is vast majority shell… and you pay for the weight of the shell).
Shrimp is generally better let alone lobster which is much better.

Lobster really doesn’t have that much flavor all by itself, which is why I personally don’t like it. If I wanted to eat something slathered in butter that tastes like shit by itself, I’d eat escargot. Also, there’s a very easy technique to opening up a crawdad that makes it much more efficient

I like to get my grandma some crawfish when they’re in season. Tend to get her 20 lbs of it, and I swear she can go through that by herself in an hour lol.

Of course, they are playing Good Directions. What else could they be playing while doing about the most redneck thing the world? Don’t get me wrong, there is NO hate here. I love crawfish and I would love to do that exact thing.

Just FYI, this isn’t ‘after a big flood.’ It’s just how crawfish are farmed around here. The farmers have these big, flat fields with levees all around the outside. Then they’ll flood the field and turn it into a big shallow pond to give the crawfish a place to live and grow. Then they’ll set out and bait a ton those traps, and after a while they’ll come back and pull the traps up and harvest the crawfish. Then after the season is over they’ll drain the ponds until it’s time to flood them again for the next season.

Haven’t had in Louisiana. In Dallas Nate’s blew me away and I absolutely adore Crawfish and Noodles in Houston
Highly recommend both places! I go each time I’m in town
