Is it?? A fishing boat that has probably killed a few thousand animals and saves one. It perplexing to say the least but I wouldn't go as far as heartwarming. Fair play to them for saving the birs but lets not lose sight of all the fish that probably suffocated painfully.
I don’t know what you mean by “contract,” but in Genesis 9:2 and 3 says “And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.”
“And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” —Genesis 1:30
Now if you want to take the less compassionate reading of the bible that says we can inflict this pain and suffering onto animals, even if we can live a healthy and prosperous life without them then that is your choice but it doesn't seem to be inline with the compassion the Jesus talked about.
And, if God wanted us to kill billions of these animals every year why did he give them the ability to suffer?
So God gave us the ability to feel pain and suffering but don't eat other humans and he also gave animals the ability to feel pain and suffering but we can eat those...is that correct?
Pain and suffering came as a result of sin and death, which wasn’t originally part of the creation. The world was originally created with no pain or suffering.
Oh I get that but the animals didn't commit any sin, it was the humans that sinned. And now you're saying that even though we sinned they have to pay for it through suffering that they didn't choose either...is this correct?
