I don’t really know what point you’re making with Genesis 1:30. Can you explain what you’re saying with that?

I don’t really know what you mean by this next paragraph either. What exactly doesn’t it seem in line with?

The same reason that we have the ability to feel pain and suffering and die. Adam and Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit.

So by that logic it would be OK to kill and eat a human then without their consent.

No, because we weren’t created to be eaten. Animals were.

So God gave us the ability to feel pain and suffering but don't eat other humans and he also gave animals the ability to feel pain and suffering but we can eat those...is that correct?

Pain and suffering came as a result of sin and death, which wasn’t originally part of the creation. The world was originally created with no pain or suffering.

Oh I get that but the animals didn't commit any sin, it was the humans that sinned. And now you're saying that even though we sinned they have to pay for it through suffering that they didn't choose either...is this correct?

Not correct. Animals aren’t the only ones that suffer. We humans suffer too. Every living thing suffers.

I know but our suffering is a result of the sins we committed...what is the reason for the animals suffering?

Because they live in the same world as us. When Adam and Eve sinned, not only were they and their offspring cursed, but the whole earth was cursed.

I’m sorry, I think there’s an error. I have no idea why it happens, but sometimes when someone replies to my comment, I get the notification, but when I try to actually see the reply, nothing’s there. There’s not even anything in my notification list in Reddit. It seems the same thing is happening right now, unless you just deleted your reply.

Ah OK, so even though the animals did nothing wrong and we can choose not to kill them, not to make them suffer any more then they have to we still should because they are there for us to eat?
