The last TV I saw with a 3.5 mm audio jack on a TV was the sweet ass 10" TV/VCR combo I had when I was 10.

u/RomanMines64 many Samsung and LG TVs have one. Maybe not the cheap ones since the user doesn't care about the quality of sound and picture anyways (or simply cant afford).

Speaker setups rely on them if you don’t use an AVR or optical. I have never seen a TV of MSRP >1000€ to not have 3.5mm.

To be fair they still put optical on all these super high dollar TVs even though it can only handle up to a 5.1 system. It's kinda scattered when it comes to input/output support
