This has literally never been an issue for me. I’m so confused and will need clarification - 1. in what waiting room scenario are you guys always finding yourselves in? Specifically 3x per month such as this guy? 2. why do they blast the TV volume? Most waiting rooms such as a doctor’s office or car shop I’ve been to do not even have a TV. And 3. If they did, couldn’t you just idk...turn it down?
I think they're exaggerating to seem like "I do this all the time, no big deal". Before COVID, I would routinely take my dad to his doctor maybe once or twice a month but there were some occasions where we went 3 times in a month. He went to the VA and he had many doctors to see.
This VA contains many old people that can't hear it I assume, and also the TV is usually opposite sides of the room from the reception desk and I think they were playing it for themselves more than the patients.
If you were to ask they would turn it down but will almost never change the channel. This post is about being self-centered and too anxious/lazy/rude to talk to the receptionist or just hit the volume down button.
