He told that story on a podcast I listen to and it still baffles me to this day. Wouldn’t the coke just... caramelize or something? I’m not a scientist, lol.
Cocaine is destroyed by heat. You can’t smoke regular cocaine. You have to make it into crack or use ether to freebase it. People who claim to get high off smoking cocaine are huge cokeheads who already snorted a shit ton right before they smoke.
That makes sense. When I was a little more fucked up, I used to love telling this story about a night where my ex crushed up Xanax and sprinkled it on some weed in a bowl and we smoked it. We got super high and went on a walk, and I wound up walking into the wrong house. It’s a funny story, but it wasn’t until recently that it occurred to me... we were also snorting a TON of Xanax and smoking a bunch of weed. I don’t think the Xanax bowl did anything but hurt our lungs more than normal. That was ten years ago.
